Why do i keep waking up?

for the past few nights i have been having lucids but it only lasts for a very short while and then i wake up for no reason at all. I don't even get excited or anything, i will just be there walking towards someone or trying to fly and BOOM i wake up. This has happened for the past 4 nights and before that i had been able to stay in my dream for a very long period of time. Its not like i can even feel when i am starting to wake up, one second im in a vivid dream and the next i wake up. Any help please?

That sucks. I don't know why that's happening, but reading this might help you. If not, it's a great read anyway!

not great or anything at lucid dreaming
but it might help if you focus in the very beginning on JUST getting stable.
focus on the contours and complexity of your hand until you feel more stable within the dream
The sun and moon pass over my shoulders,
I see mountains and rivers all in the palm of my hand.

I had one of these sort of thing the other day. I was walking in a lucid like normal, the dream was even really vivid. I just had a passing though of waking up and I did.

Thinking of waking up or thinking of my real body often wakes me up. Try to always be doing something that is engaging your 'senses' to try to 'flood' them so that you don't get woken up. Is there something in the environment that's waking you?

I kinda have a theory about this.
Could it be if you push outside the boundaries of your dream, you get to the point where your mind can't keep up, so you just wake up.

Like if you suddenly go flying at super speeds, your mind has to map the landscape below you.

A lot of advice I've read says that you should use the dream your in.
If you want to go elsewhere, you need to visualise it. For example, the door and mirror teleport techniques.

Of course I could be talking rubbish.

I've often wondered this. When I think of my mind making the dream world I think of it as a computer and a graphics card. Like what is the limit of the dream world. For example how big of a fully detailed world can my mind make before the dream crashes like an overclocked video game.
