      Spinning works

For LDs that begin to fade, spinning works. And if you do it right, you can stay in your current environment and make it more vivid.

This morning, I had an LD that began to fade several times. What I did was, first, start rubbing my hands together. Then, focus on your surroundings WHILE SPINNING, and spin fast but don't go super fast (e.g. try to still see stuff as you spin).

If you rub your hands and keep focus on your environment while you spin only somewhat fast, you can achieve the desired effect with little change on your environment. Some change may still happen, though, but it's probably minor. For example, after spinning one time this morning, the tile on the walls changed color, but that was it. I did this about 5 times until it "wore out" and I woke up.

By doing these things while spinning, you could get your longest LDs yet. Even while I was in this dream this morning, I kept thinking how long and vivid it was turning out to be.

I'll try this tonight if my LD starts to fade. I spun last night, and focused on the ground, but that didn't work out.

Man, sometimes rubbing my hands together works to keep me in my dream, but usually it only lasts a few secs before it all fades out again. And sometimes, when I notice it fading I go to rub my hands and end up moving my real hands and then just being awake. I think I've associated rubbing my hands together with meaning that the dream's gunna end soon.
I gotta remember to spin more. I tried it the first time I had a lucid dream recently, when I noticed the dream was fading cos I got excited when I realised I was dreaming. It was weird, as I was spinning, it all still faded to black for a few seconds, so I focused on feeling this knife I'd been holding in the dream (don't ask, completely innocent dream stuff here), and I could feel it so vividly that this bright light started coming back, and then I was falling through clouds back into my kitchen, where I'd been moments before.

Yes rubbing your hands together works very well.
Also yelling out clarity works even better.
I have a memory of yelling out clarity 3 times and watching a tree become crystal clear right before my eyes.

Thanks, I might try this tonight, hopefully it can work. I've been having trouble
      staying in my dream.

So the most important thing to do is focus on your environment, right?

I've never really needed this technique yet, since I've yet to get maximum lucidity first, but I'll keep this in mind. Thanks .

You really always need to keep your mind active to sustain and stabilize the lucidity at all times. Just don't get distracted, or too excited and you should be fine. Try to start with small things, and work your way up.

spinning sucks. period. I just rub my hands, lick the roof of my mouth and start touching everything in sight to stabalize my dreams.
Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead...only try to realize the truth. There is no spoon. Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.
