Why don't you try a jetpack or wings? |

I'm having a little trouble flying. I've only tried superman style so far (jumping with arms outstretched in front of me) but I can't quite get it. How did you learn to fly? (I'm a very logical person, and so I need a trick 'cause of gravity) |

Lucids: 2
DILDs: 1
DEILDs: 1
WILDs:2
Goals: Fly[X]; Iron Man[X]; Sleep/walk on a cloud[X]; swim to the depths of the ocean[]; meet an alien[]
Oh that would be a long history, it took me 8 lucids to learn, so it was like this: |

because thoes are bulky and are probally harder to summon from a logical persons stand point |

I just jumped and expected to stay in the air... and I did. |

Cowards Die In Shame
Hovering is pretty easy, then just getting higher and higher. It's how I started out. |

You merely have to change your point of view slightly, and then that glass will sparkle when it reflects the light.
In my first LD ever I jumped off an ocean cliff. There was this beautiful sunset. I closed my eyes while I was falling, and told myself that I would not hit the water, but feel the air instead. Later, when I already should have hit the water, I opened my eyes again and guess what: I was flying just inches above the water at high speed. My hand even touched the water at one point because I was spinning around my axis. |

Current projects:
-Acquire the Aurora
-Test galatamine, huperzine and choline
-Find smartwatch app for RC reminders at certain intervals
-Ressurect my dream log here, and become more active
i just jump up as hard as i can and imagine me going forward then it happens |

Rarely have I flown, but the times I have done so, it didn't require much thought. I just sort of shot up into the air, and went from there. |
|
Whenever I LD, I try to fly. I naturally use my feet as rocket boosters, and take it from there. |

ah, the famous learning-to-fly journey. |

naturals are what we call people who did all the right things accidentally

I just did, no thinking about it. |

I just stand, put one arm up, and acknowledge that gravity doesn't exist. Then I feel energy flow through me, and can fly. |

I love DEILD! SP is pwnage!
For me, often a jet pack works well, or at least an imaginary jet pack. I don't actually have to summon the jet pack, just think about having it on my back. One never really appears on my back, but (and if you read my recent DJ entry you'll see what im talking about) if I press down my thumbs as if I had a dual handled jet pack on I can control throttle. The next step is controling the wind, which, in my experience was the next really hard thing about flying. Whenever I would try to fly the wind would become very heavy. I still have this problem from time to time, but getting used to it slowly. |

I've only had a handfull of flying dreams, and they were not lucid. While in the dream, the method of flying (different method for each dream) made complete logical sense to me. Once awake, I realized how absurd the method was. |

Wow, thanks everyone! I think I'll try the "growing wing pills" idea tonight! |
|
I was able to fly in my non-lucids, so when I started this, doing it in lucids proved to be no problem. I imagine a falling feeling, like you get when you go over the top of a roller coaster, and...I...just...float...away..... |
|
Well, I learned to use telekinesis early on, before I learned to fly well. After one Lucid where I was trying to fly by flapping my arms, I thought about how ridiculous that is. There is no gravity in a dream, and if there was, flapping arms obviously wouldn't help. |
|
When I first start to fly it almost feels like I'm swimming, I have to jump and then use my arms and legs to propel myself forward almost as if I were under water. After a while of this flying becomes easier and I can quit the doggie paddle, or it kind of fizzles out and I end up back on the ground. |
|
I learned to fly in my dreams when I was a kid. It started with me running around the track at my elementary school. Then I'd jump and keep running. Over time the jumps got longer and higher. I started to add some swimming motions when I was in the air to stay up longer. Eventually I didn't have to run or jump to get up. And later I didn't have to "swim" to fly. Now I usually can fly in any position just by wanting to. |

I didn't really learn to fly but it seems to happen an awful lot in my lucids nonetheless - guess that's a good thing even thought I don't ever intend to fly. |

LD count: 75

I only learned to fly last week actually, hehe I was having trouble so I asked a DC for help, she told me to have my arms outstreched and have a good run up and it worked! |
