      Lightbulb Just do it anyways and it shall be done...

      So I have come up with a plan that works for me to do just about anything while dreaming. Maybe not flying but it kind of works for that I just haven't tried it much for flying. So here it goes...

      A while back I have easily concluded that dreaming is all in your head right? Haha well I came up with the conclusion that all I have to do is think about it really hard and just pretend as if I'm doing what I'm doing and that it's actually working and it does. If that didn't make sense I'll give you an example.

      Example 1:
      Once I was in my dream and I ran up to a door and I tried to open it but it was locked and wouldn't turn all the way and I was being chased so I had to get out so I just pretended as if I was actually opening the door and although the knob didn't turn all the way the door still opened.

      Example 2:
      From the same dream I was trying to get away and I got into a car and I realized I had no keys to start the car up but i decided to just forget about it and put my hand by the ignition and turn my hand as if I had the keys and the car started up and I was good to go.

      So basically it's as simple as doing what seems impossible no matter if it's working or not because it'll happen anyways, well it works for me but I don't know about anyone else.

      Oh and also this kind of has to do with my theory well here's an example from a dream I had where I was with a girl and we were getting away from people. So don't you know how usually when you put too much focus on something it'll end up disappearing? Well I was running with this girl to get in a car and I was paying too much attention to her and she disappeared but I was having fun with the dream so I just pretended to be holding her hand and getting her into the car even though there was no one there I just kept going along with it and pretending and eventually she appeared again and was back in the dream.

      ah, the power of acting "as if"

      sometimes, the creative aspect of kids playing "pretend" is highly underestimated, glad to see you put it to good use in LDing!

      Interesting concept..i can see this working..unfortunately im not at the stage yet where I need to bother about staying lucid, its the getting lucid thats hard right now lol

      It is of great use. I should try it while summoning. Just start talking as if they are there, and eventually cut in with "Now why not make yourself visible?"

      I did it this morning to dream extend when the surroundings went black. I just kept playing out the dream in my head, and it kept going for a couple more minutes.

      Yup, this is EXACTLY what I do! Isn't it amazing how just having the confidence and visualization ability while working on that "It's ok, I'm dreaming" awareness really makes such a huge difference!

      Hey, this is cool. I can see responding to the dream going "that didn't work" with "yeah it fucking did" being good for one's confidence too, which is always a plus with dream control.
