Ill give it a try when i start to lucid. |

So, I've been LDing for 6 months now, and the longer I do it, the more skilled I've become. (I've had 16 LDs since I started. ) But, I've more or less consistently has the problem of the dream ending abruptly. BUT, in my most recent LD, when I felt myself slipping, I stared singing a song I know the lyrics to really well, and it held me in the dream, and (in the same dream) the next time it happened, I did the same thing and it worked. Now, like I said, this is just the one dream, but I feel like this method of holding onto a dream has huge potential. (I could see how if you felt that you were losing your LUCIDITY, it might not work that well; you'd sing the wrong lyrics, and not notice, but I mean that this could work well just for holding onto a slipping dream, that you're logical in.) I'm wondering if anyone else does this, and if anyone else would like to give it a try. |

I've experienced the same thing, only instead of singing, I started moving. There have been a couple instances where I've been able to feel both my unmoving sleeping body and my moving dream body at the same time. Rather cool, actully! Anyway, if you feel yourself losing lucidity, you could also start walking or rubbing your hands together or doing something to maintain focus on your dream body and off of your waking body. I haven't had and LD for a long time, but this did help me in the past. |

I've often woken up with a song in my head. Maybe that's a sign. I'll see if I can come up with something to remember to sing. I've woekn up singing "I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How to Dance" by The Black Kids and some stuff by Gwen Stefani. I'll pay more attention to it. |

That's a great idea. I've had about 6-7 dreams that I recall that had songs in them (including me singing them). I listen to music practically all day 6 out of 7 days, so I've got plenty of songs memorized. I will definitely try this sometime. |
