Can you help me fly in my lucid dream?

Hey. Well i've never been able to fly in a non-lucid and lucid dream. Well this morning around 6:35 i managed to WILD succesfully ( I wasn't really trying, the though just came to me to try it and it worked). So then i knew i had to like maybe not stay in the Dream to long because i knew in that about a few minutes i would have to get ready for school.

So first ( i didnt even pay attention to my surrondings for that matter) I held my nose and tried to breath. It worked. So then im like sweet let me try and fly. So i started running then i jumped... I was floating for a bit but then the thought oh what happens if i fall will i wake up? Well i fell but i didnt really feel anything...

So i was like hmm.. maybe if i go somewhere else like a field, or even on top of an Apartment building i might be able to get some results.

For some reason i decide to look at my hands and i was sooo scared. My finger where like cut off and there was some white stuff coming out. i was like terrified so i turned away. So im walking to the door and a headless person with a Pumkin in his hand slowly approaches me ( i guess cause its halloween season). and that also scared me and i knew that the dream was going to end. So im trying to rub my hands but i cant properly( i think cause of my like messed up fingers) The dream ends..

( yea the last part was off topic) but can you please help me Fly. I want to do it so badly. Im going to try again my method but when i start floating ill flap my arms or something. Any Tips?

Also is there anything relatively easy i could do in my dream?

Before you lucid dream when you are fully relax close your eyes and picture yourself flying and tell your mind "I want to do that on my next dream" open your eyes and picture yourself coming out of your body like a mummy sitting up and then slowly standing and taking lift for flight.

Keep practicing and tell your mind that you really want to do it but you have to be fully relax and have your mind clear. Focus on flying only and in time I am sure you can fly.

      hope this helped.

try picturing yourself blasting off like a rocket. the running and jumping usually causes you to only float up until you get the technique down. just put your arm(s) in the air and just picturing yourself taking off, this usually works, but you gotta believe it will.

If you can't fly, make an object fly (maybe a broom or a carpet) and then just hop on. Another thing and try and fly like your favorite superhero would, like superman or something. Good luck ^__^ oh and sometimes doing an rc or trying to stabilize the dream back fires. I use to do a watch reality cck where I close my eyes and open them agian, then in dreams sometimes my eyes wouldn't open agian. Try using antoher stabilizing technique, like useing some more reality checks.

Some people have had a lot of good results using objects, like pills or flying things, to help them learn how to fly. The first time I did controlled flight in a dream, I simply ran on a road and wanted to jump high. I kinda jumped, but it wasn't sufficiently high, so I imagined myself kinda releasing a kind of thrusting power from my feed (kinda like rocket-boots ) which lifted me up a bit. Eventually I realized I wasn't really jumping, I was flying, so I took off and started flying around. I had some difficulty with turning, but I could control the speed and I felt weightless.

Another thing you could try is just bowing a bit over and then lift your feet from the ground. This is the way I fly around in most of my nonlucid-dreams, though it's more like floating around.

Its just your expectation. You need to be able to EXPECT to fly. Know that since your dreaming, you CAN fly. KNOW that its just your expectation holding you back, and you really can. Once you truly realize it in a dream you should be able to do anything. I also recommend the things that have already been said, but most of all this. All you have to do is keep training. All of it will come with experience, you have NOTHING to worry about. LDing is just something you get better at the LONGER you do it. I know that seems like common sense, like it applies for evertything, but I especially mean it for LDing. Just keep up the consistant practice and you should be flying in no time. IMO, all you need to focus on is getting the AMOUNT of LD's your having to go up. The more LDs the better. When your in them, dont focus on gaining control, or trying to do certain things..Just have fun in it. All that stuff will just come with experience. The more LD's you have, the more experience you get, the less shocked youll be every time you have an LD, the better youll be able to think clearly and control your dreams.

So basically, all you need to do is focus on having MORE LD's and having fun in them. Then, all the other stuff will just come(dream control, flying)

I think thats some good overall LD advice, not just for learning flying.

For me, trying to 'think' about flying only works to a minimal degree. I tend to either not be able to, or I only succeed in going a couple inches off the ground.
Instead, I found that you need to 'will' yourself to fly, rather than 'think' yourself flying. One seems to come from mind and thought, the other from will and consciousness, and the former tends to not work so well.

I notice your biggest detriment to any in-dream abilities; telekinesis (my favorite only surpassed by flying), flight, dream-world influence, etc., is your mind. I believe your mind is partially responsible for your awareness, and int his your mind also implements logical 'you-can-do-this, you-can't-do-that' boundaries. The easiest way to surpass this is to shift your means of influence from your mind, to your inner core. You will notice the shift because of where you try to exert control from; it actually feels like it will either come from your mind, or from that deep well of consciousness. I have almost achieved mastery over flight in only a short period of time, and telekinesis is my next priority, followed by understanding of the dream world itself, as well as the individuals within it.

A key thing to remember is not to force it, but to let it flow from within. You would have to experiment a bit to understand exactly what I mean by this, but you will know when you understand.

Remember that lucid dreams are more often at dawn. Learn your best time for that and always have a mission to acomplish on each exercise.

The first time I tried to fly I tried jumping up and down on the ground a couple of times with no results. I gave up on this and just jumped on the balcony in a last ditch attempt to force myself to do it. when I was very close to the ground I suddenly curved back upwards and I was flying. After that happenned I could just fly at will.

      Hope this helps

Focus on where in the sky you want to go, keep your attention there, and for god sakes don't doubt yourself!

I know I had this problem last night, actually. I would fly, get like 50 feet in the air, then level off and drift back to the ground, so I tried imagning a point waaaaay up in the sky, in this case a floating fortress/satelite but imagining I was heading there wasn't working, i needed to imagine I was already there, and I saw it getting bigger. I kept focusing on it until I mnage to levitate right up to the steps. Then I looked down, and realized what felt like I had transcended 1000s of feet was only like 40 feet from the ground. I was so pissed.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

The problems I had at first with flying was that when I would try and fly, I would fall until I was an inch or two above the ground, and if I was flying with my hands out ahead of me, like superman in a way, my nose would be right next to the ground. I tried to counter this by pushing myself up along invisible steps, and leaping from them at my desired height. Theres something about 'trying' and actually 'doing' involved in all this. Like when you try to fly, regardless of whether you actually want to fly, you'll do just that; 'Try'.

most implest advice i can give is "just do it". there's really no technique.
Do not try and bend the spoon. That's impossible. Instead...only try to realize the truth. There is no spoon. Then you'll see, that it is not the spoon that bends, it is only yourself.

Try to jump up and do a loop-de-loop in the air, and at the end of the loop fly off into the sky.

The loop will boost your confidence in being able to fly, but you must believe that it willl work (because anything will work in a dream if you believe it will).

I haven't been able to fly in my dreams either untill a few days ago. I was walking around in the dream world thinking of what i would like to do when i realized i haven't even been able to fly yet.. I always had trouble with flying. I took a look at the sky and jumped up thinking it would work with no problems. That wasn't the case tho.. I stood there for a moment and thought to myself what i could be doing wrong when all of a sudden a phrase popped into my head.. It's probably pretty popular but it was "Don't think you can, know you can" I said that to myself once got into a stance like i was charging up and all of a sudden i blasted off into the sky, after that it was smooth sailing .. Maybe thinking of that phrase will help you in your next attempt. Good luck!
I lurk. Sometimes I greet people too.

A few nights ago I was being chased by unknown people in my dream and I realized it wasn't real when I thought about the reason why I was running from them.

I jumped into the air and started floating, and I could swim through the air for a couple seconds but then it started slowing down and I was pretty much suspended, like being in space. Sadly my LDs only last maybe 10 seconds before the scene disappears...

      Hi,

Best as you awake at weekend lie-in. As you awake, and drift in and out of sleep, hold on to the moment and watch for fleeting images, rather like a slide show. Think of flying and try to inflleunce the images, then drift back off for, hopefully, a flying dream

I just will myself to fly. I think about my feet leaving the ground, and it just happens. I've made myself grow wings before, and I managed to stay in the air for a long time. Sometimes it's hard to stay in the air, but once you do get there you can relax. Like anything in dreams, it's mind over matter. You're the boss in your dreams. Don't forget that.

It's like The Matrix. People are dreaming, but they don't know they're dreaming. Neo becomes lucid and realizes that nothing is as it seems. Eventually he is able to control his "dreams." If you really willed yourself, you could stop bullets too.

I had a couple of dreams about flying. In both dreams I was flying from the first point I remember so I don't know how I got started.

In one I was flying high over a town and all the buildings were so small because they appeared so far away from me. I paid too much attention to this small detail and learned I was actually not flying over a life-sized city but I was merely hovering just inches above a twin-bed size toy city made out of LEGOs. I promptly fell to the ground, crushing all that man had created, possibly ending millions of lives, and cutting my chin on a skyscraper. Owwwie.
Life in a box is better than no life at all, I expect. You'd have a chance, at least. You could lie there thinking, "Well. At least I'm not dead.'
