the Strongest Dream Emotion?

For almost 2yrs, if i ever wanted to gain more power i focused on anger. But recently i have had some irl occurrences that only allow me to "hate" in my dreams. The Hatred feels nice, it doesn't stop me from feeling pain but it makes me crave the pain. I haven't encountered anything stronger, not even the "absorb blood" technique a DC of mines uses. With that technique he always outdid me and i can do it too but it never seemed to work too well in my advantage but i fought him recently with just Hatred and this new "armor" thing i made and we actually tied.

This leads me to believe that Hate is the strongest emotion, if anyone else have any emotions they like to use for power let me know

I would have to say fear/amazement, since the two of these always wake me up in a dream(amazement in a lucid).

hmmm fear yeh now that u mention it i have had a slight boost from being afraid in a dream but amazement im not sure if that made me stronger, i think it just made me more alert of my dream environment

Adrenaline, usually that wakes me up. Like I will trip and literally be only inches away from falling face first and then wake up. But I guess that technically isn't an emotion; so you could classify it as "surprised/excitement" I guess.

You know...come to think of it I have only expirienced the above, along with fear and anger. I haven't had any other emotions in a dream before...strange.

I think my strongets emotions in LD's are amazement, joy and excitement. I don't think that any particular state of emotion makes me more or less powerful.

Regarding to fear, I think that fear brings no good to dream control. You wan't to be clear in your head, and not act of fear.

True, though it is still a very powerful emotion to experience in dreams.

Depends on the situation i guess. Fear helped me to overpower my opponent when he had me in a headlock but then again wen i was trying to escape this dude because when he was near me i got a headache i couldnt use my normal powers COMPLETELY because i was scared, i couldnt fly or shapeshift like i usually can easily... but its been awhile since i used fear.
i mainly use Anger/Hatred now. If i tried to use "love" i usually ended up hurting myself.

Hate for me, fear is fun and all, but just to pass time, the same as the others <.<
Also, if fear is used good enough, it can lead to amazing control lol

Love and fear. These are the only two emotions that can do anything more than make me a little annoyed when I wake up. Fear has caused me to actually make myself sick from terror, and on the rare occasions that I'm in love with a dream character, once I wake up (whether they've died or just not been real) I can just break down crying when I realize they're gone and be depressed the rest of the day. In both cases, the source of the emotion never really existed, but I can't bring myself to feel joy or hatred in or from a dream as strongly as those. (Nor sadness, when it doesn't stem from the above loss.)

JET73L that's very interesting, I was always curious if anyone has ever expirienced love in a dream, and then felt sad because it was never real.

i don't know if any emotion is more powerful. i would like to think that joy/euphoria is the most powerful emotion because it is the one i experience most of the time in my LDs.

I've noticed that in a high percentage of my dreams I'm quite angry. Whenever I'm angry I do a reality check haha. Works great.

Fear.

I've felt fear that was so strong it caused physical pain, like being cut in half. Nothing else compares to it.

the feeling of love in my dreams have been indescribable, I couldn't recreate them in waking life.

I think all emotions are equally potentially as intense in dreams, just some people experience certain ones more than others.

I find that my strongest emotions in dreams are, in order, starting with the strongest: pain, lust, anger.

My advice is to focus on that emotion before going to sleep.

My strongest dream emotions was when i kissed a girl,it wasnt a normal a kiss though, it felt like we had know each other for thousands of lifetimes and we had just found each other BUT..... she died.IT was an extremely werid dream but the love was there man....
