Thumbs down Struggling to move from my bed.

Last night I tried to force a Lucid dream for the first time. It was pretty eventful.

The first time, I fell into SP really quickly. Once I was there I opened my eyes. The first thing I noticed was that my poster on the wall had changed. Instead of being a picture of Kurt Cobain it was now a picture of a garden with lots of flowers.
This confirmed that I was dreaming, so I looked over to my bedside cabinet. There I have a little silver lamp, i thought in my head 'Pigeon' over and over. The lamp slowly started to take the shape of a pigeon. It was a little hazy at first but as time went on it became more clear.
As soon as that happened I wanted to get out of my bed. But I couldn't! I found it hard to distinguish between my real body and my dream body. I was only able to lift my head a few inches. After that I woke up.
My heart was pounding really fast, it must of been the most fascinating 10 seconds of my life.

I set my alarm for the morning, and when I woke i tried again. Fortunately it did, this time I fully concentrated on leaving my body. I was able to lift my arm and leg away from my actual arm and leg. But after that I woke.
For some reason, my dream arm and leg was fully clothed. Whereas my real body was half naked.
      Is this normal?

Anyway. Can anyone give me some guidance in moving from your bed? I would really appreciate it.

I've been having the same problem. It's infuriating.

Maybe instead of moving physically, you could try 'willing' yourself to stand up. I dunno. I'm just shooting some ideas around. Theoretically, if you can transform a lamp into a pigeon, you can get yourself to stand up, using will power.

My 2nd LD was actually a lucid nightmare. And basically i was in bed and i heard my moms voice outside my room saying my name. As if calling and looking for me. I new it was a dream because my mom lives in Asia. And the door to my room opened i heard footsteps but i didnt see anyone come in. I tried to get up to see what was happening, but i couldn't move from my bed. Then i was like open ur eye, open for like 5 sec's. Then i got out.

      it was intense!

Lucky for me I have overcome this,I can now move out of my bed with ease.
I am not even sure how I do it.

when im in SP and trying to transition into the dream , I dont try to get up on my own. I just wait and pretty soon my entire body will feel like its floating or rotating and when it stops I'll usually be back in my bed fully able to move, but it's a false awakening.
