      Cool Throwing wicked curves

A few nights ago I was throwing knives at this tree, and I noticed that it was really easy to always hit right where you want with a little concentration. Then I started throwing the knives to the far left of the target and they would have a big sweeping curve and hit the tree. I played around with this for a while and then decided to take my skill into a crowed area for some moving target practice. I threw a knife as hard as I could and bent it around a stop sign and nailed a DC right in the chest from about 50 yards away. It was so awesome! I also got the idea to kick a soccer ball and bend it around some objects, it's really fun. Tonight I'm gonna play around with curving some other objects.

Has anyone else tried this? It's a pretty basic skill, I think most beginners would be able to do this.

      To sum up...

You're suggesting people try aiming for things by focusing on them, the object should go toward the target, even if you aim it off in another direction... Smart thinking.
      Bollocks.

Awesome idea. It actually plays off of the way I learned to throw accurate punches in dreams (instead of them either being slowed down as if I was underwater, or just missing my targets completely like they used to). I stopped focusing on the "flight" of my fists, but just focusing on the target. I would just envision my fists hitting the target, not traveling toward it (much like when Morpheus tells Neo "Come on, stop trying to hit me and hit me!").

I've never tried this with projectiles, but I'm going to mess around with it some, if I can remember to.

sounds fun i should try it sometime

something else that's somewhat similar and very fun is to be like a ninja, super fast and agile and jump through high windows doing cartwheels and flips through the air.

I tried this again last night, except I played catch with another DC using a baseball. I threw balls slightly downward then would float up and arc to the right, and other times I would throw it hard to the left, then have it bend back right almost at a 90 degree angle. Tonight I'll try curving some golf shots

Yep, Wanted is where the inspiration came from. But I think it's more fun to curve knives because you can actually see the curve.

Agreed, bullets would not be as fun to curve as a spear...

I'll have to try this... Soon.

Whoa, curving a spear would be pretty sweet.

I tried curving the golf balls with a three wood, but it wasn't as fun as throwing them.

The same night I tried throwing closed scissors into a wooden fence and it worked really well. I put a whole bunch of rotation on them too.

You can see the bullets curve, too.

All you'll have to do is slow time down to where you can track them - another good control skill to develop.

That would be pretty sick, I need to try this. I'll just stand in a crowded mall or something and cap a bunch of DCs walking around.

I love GIR! I really liked that episode too. Now getting onto some real stuff: this sounds like a good thing to try, but not something everybody would find easy. Depending on their mind frame, different things work better for different people. For example, I'm very logical. So, things that seem impossible don't work well for me. However, I see myself as charismatic (rather, I can win arguments, but people don't like to admit it). This carries over in my dreams. Only once have I had a DC refuse to do what I said. (It's a skill that's very... useful) This is something I might be able to do. However, some people may have a hard time with it. They might throw the knife, and a target will appear in front of it (IE walk around a corner as it's flying).
