Hi. i would like to learn some combat tips for lucid dreams. it can be any form of combat.
Hello ultima
I just suggest that you try whatever you think would work. It doesn't matter how you fight in a lucid dream, anything could work. Also you may get more replies if you posted this in the dream control section or general lucid discussion:D
oh, yeah, sorry im new.
i am open to suggestions.
Like I said in your other post, you can do whatever you want, basically. Have you had any lucid dreams yet?
i guess ive got experimenting to do. :)
One suggestion I would make that applies to all lucid dreaming activities but could be especially significant for lucid combat is to not move your body by thinking, but move your body by moving your body. In other words, if you want to do a backflip and kick somebody out, don't think about what it would look like and mentally imagine your body doing it, just feel your body doing it, and know deeply that things don't have to make sense in a dream.
yes i have. i know ill stretch my body like rubber, as soon as i learn how to do that.
Why post two threads /minimod
Just believe you can do it and do whatever you want
Super saiyan is the way to go :)
Listen to SugarGlider, he knows what he's talking about.
Moved to dream control~
Merged duplicate threads~
thanks guys.
Your welcome :)
Also in a lucid dream you dont really need to learn how to do anything, it all has to do with expecting it to work, as hello said. If you know that you will be able to stretch like rubber, you will stretch like rubber. I also think the same is true for having lucid dreams, if you expect/know you will have one, you most likely will.
Hope I helped.
try imagining yourself with imaginary hands holding some type of video games ocntroller, somehow making you have a set of mental video game hands, and a dream body performing the actions without a controller present, and use the controller to pull off combos that your dream body will do.
Always go straight for the jugular.
I prefer kidney shots myself.
Simple and well established archetypes are the best ones to use in dream combat.
For instance a tank or jet have too many technical things that can go wrong, so a gun is better than a tank. But a gun can jam, break, get wet, run out of ammo, so a sword is better than a gun. Bows and arrows are actually more reliable than guns, and swords and bladed weapens are better than projectile weapons. But swords can get dull or break, which makes bare hands physical combat the ultimate weapon.
Stick with swords and lower if you want to win. Anything higher or more complicated than that just has a lot more possibilities that can go wrong associated with it. We don't have complete control over dreams, and those associated possibilities are constantly manifesting.
By using simpler combat archetypes like swords and hand to hand, you end up with fewer random outcomes. That way you don't have to react to as many surprise situations like your gun jamming.
That said, I take way too much pleasure in crushing people's skulls with my bare hands in my dreams. It's just so satisfying.
Of course you can engineer your own supermoves from scratch. Some punches are better than others. Some you really connect. If you were to spend a few lucids going around punching people and yelling out "FALCON PUNCH!" (or anything you want to call it) every time you felt you were throwing a really devastating punch, then that would form a new archetype that has connections only to devastating punches. That way whenever you throw a punch and yell "Falcon Punch!" at the same time, the only possible outcome will be somebody getting knocked out.
Most people do this to some degree, they all have certain lucid moves they can use with some degree of success. But there are always random failures, which comes from the archetypes they built up including failed attempts. If you fail using a lucid ability 25% of the time, then there is a 25% chance that you will fail the next time you use it. Engineering your own combat archetypes can be complicated, but it's so much fun. You don't have to yell out stupid anime names for stuff, but that's certainly a very simple and straight forward way of doing it.
No. You need to fight them with spoons.

:chuckle:
I think he's asking for suggestions though.
I personally like controlling the dream world rather than myself. For example, when somebody was trying to run me over in a car, I didn't fly through the windshield and rip their throat out, or shoot them. I imagined a flame in the center of the car, growing slowly, and snapped. This had the effect of the car shooting up in the air with fire shooting out all of the windows.
Also, I have to disagree with The Cusp. I've used guns before. As long as you don't have a pre-conceived notion of anything going wrong (for example, "I hope my scope's zeroed correctly" ) then it really shouldn't. I used a sniper rifle once to shoot out the tire of a satellite truck that was tracking me from roughly 4000 feet away while it was driving. And I was lucid at the time.
Make sure you do something you can easily envision. For example, I could summon an exploding demon hot dog and shove it down someone's throat, but it's much easier for me to imagine the roof collapsing on them, or a spike jutting out through the wall.
In short, do what's comfortable for you. And stay away from exploding demon hot dogs.
Summon a sword and shoot energy bolts from it. Or try a kamehameha, but be warned, there kinda hard to pull off. Mine didn't look like much of a beam, more like an energy ball XD
Pretend your a death knight from world of warcraft and summon ur undead army and go reap and slay all your evil dcs
Stay Puft Marshmallow Man.
If you're desperate, you can always pull out a gun out of your pocket. Or a lightsaber!!!111
Yea just experiment with whatever comes to mind, i know my first combat dream i was fighting an invincible flying donkey for pratice, summons balls of energy and fire like something out of Street fighter or Dragon ball z.
