I still have this thing with space where every time I even contemplate going into it I freak out. I always get scared I'll start floating away from earth or wherever, and end up going into the sun or a black hole, or simply floating forever into weird worlds. I then get worried if I do I'll lose lucidity and be stuck there.
How can I get over the fact its space and remind myself its not real? The fear seems to cloud my mind.
Wow, you know what? I had the exact same fear for a long time.
Even when you're lucid, it's pretty hard to not be afraid on some level that you'll be lost forever, floating out there. It is pretty scary.
What really helped me was meditating on nothingness during my lucid dreams. When I felt how incredibly peaceful everything was in nothingness, I wasn't as afraid of places like space or the open ocean.
Another thing that helps is taking a spaceship. That way, you can pretend that the ship will always "know" where you are and the way back home. ;)
I know both of these require you to be lucid, so they may not be of much help, but that's how I've done it.

I understand exactly how you feel. When I fly, I feel like I am repelling gravity. For some reason, my speed always increases, the higher I go.
