      Teleportation to time control?

      Hey, I'm new here but I've been lucid dreaming for a while. The other day (in my dream) I walked into a sort of cage like structure and the door locked behind me. It was one of my less sensible dreams, and for some reason when I shut the door it locked behind me. So I decided I was just going to teleport out. Many times I'm unable to do things like teleport and fly but for some reason this time I never even considered the possibility that I wouldn't be able to do it. I just did. And then for some reason instead of teleporting me to a different location, it just teleported me back in time to just before I walk in the cage. My friend looked at me and asked how I did that (he probably asked that because I was wondering that in my head, and it showed through him.) So I snapped my fingers and we glitched back to the exact same spot. Anything like this ever happen to anyone else?

      Sure. The first time I tried teleporting I eneded up disintegrating my dream body and switching my perspective to third person. You hadn't thought of where you were going to teleport (or to what you were going two change your surroundings), so you basically left your dream to fill the gap - which it did. I find that with dream control you need to keep the end in mind. If you focus too much on the means then you may not get what you originally wanted.
