      nervousness?

      quick question when i am dreaming even lucid clarity stays fine until i get nervous. like for some reason the girl of my dreams (literaly right now but she is an actual person) with was not wearing pants (shut up i'm not a perv...my mind is) i went up to ask her why and i got nervous not knowing how she would respond (i was LD becuase i was trying to manipulate stuff (failing miserably) and it totaly snapped me out of the dream! Why did this happen needless to say it made me mad!

      Logic completely flies out the window in the dream state, so while you are dreaming, even if you realize that you are, you may not be completely aware that what happens there is not going to impact the real world. You see her and she is so real that it makes you think that you need to act the same way around her that you do in reality, hence making you nervous.

      i lose my lucidity in the same ways, i think any extreme emotions make you wake up or lose your lucid state(and chage the dream).
      how do you know if you aren't in a 'dream' right now?

      Main thing: RELAX! If you can remember to, try to make it so that she's wearing pants so you don't get so nervous. That's just my advice.

      Yea, Emotions such as Anger, Nervousness, and Excitement seem to wake people up. Mainly because our body on the outside is still responding to these emotions physcially and waking us up. Staying calm is extremely important in keeping a stable dream.

      I believe it is possible to be freaking out in a dream and get extremely excited without waking up... but with the little ability of most of us to keep a stable dream scape... its just not perceivable. More control is needed, in telling the dream to stay put, even though your freaking out.

      Hate that.

      I know this sounds wierd, but have youre main focus on pineapples... (what?) No, I'm serious, having your mind on something else helps.

      I find that dreaming about someone effects my waking life responses to them, its interesting how they both cross over, somtimes people tell me what they think about me in dreams, usually its an aspect of my waking personality i dislike as i never seem to go through with the suggestions (Eg. a girl telling me in a dream i need to talk to her becasue she also likes me). Speak to the girl man, just relax like Amethyst Star says (lol) even though i can never get past my Insecurities 99% of the time. Take it Easy.

      [size=18]Welcome mk47man A fellow Ohioan

      Where from Ohio are you from. I am east of cleveland!

      You said that you were trying to manipulate things.
      Somtimes your subconcious will not allow you to manipulate certain situations until it is ready.
      Meaning I think you can prep & practice to navigate through dreamscapes better as time goes by but as a beginner this may be the case.
