Does anyone have any tips on making lucidity last longer? Any time I become lucid I either stabilize it constantly or get swept back up in the dream and lose lucidity. Any ideas on how to stop this?

Have you read this tutorial yet?

yea, but I'm sort of looking for anything I can do previous to the dream to better remember it, like a good mantra. And actually, I was doing most of those things it listed to stabilize the dream without even noticing. I think I'd been sneaking around in this room and when I saw this black couple something felt wrong about it (that no one should have been in there, not that no black people were aloud or anything *sweating* I'm not racist or anything) and I RCed with my hand, which bubbled up before being warped and contorted. I was already on the ground so I looked at it, changing the seen. In an empty room I went and sat on a counter to think. as I ran to it my whole body felt numb to the touch, like I was feeling everything but like I felt it from three feet to the left if anyone understands that. And when I thought about what to do I though "conjure Megan Fox" a goal not on my list but deeply inset as it was said on the "attack of the show" segment which introduced me to LDing. I did not however as a girl I used to like walked into the room and I opted to have sex with her. Then a mob comes into the room and the dream state sweeps back over. This happened in my longest REM cycle and is NOWHERE near the whole dream. really only a couple seconds.
Can I ask how much experience you've had with lucid dreaming? When it comes to dream control and recall, the thing to remember that they're skills, so the most important factor in succeeding is just practice.
So basically, as you have more practice, you'll tend to have better recall, become lucid earlier in the dream, and be able to keep it stable without always having to stabilize it consciously.
Also, don't worry about looking the wrong way from your dream content--dream emotions are often very random or have deeper meanings than we think, and no person in their right mind would blame you for them. ;)
My experience can be found in the side bar (12 LDs)
Woot, thanks. :D
Yeah, for now just keep doing what you're doing--when it comes to extending lucids, aside from stabilizing there is no set way to do it. You kind of just have to get lucid earlier in the dream and feel your way through it. It's a little frustrating, but again, the best way to learn is by doing, so you'll get the hang of it over time. :)
Okay, thanks!
Try and stay in one place and do nothing except take everything in.
Aww, I liked your old quote. It was funny! but anyway...
So what if you could dilate time shortly so as to not be overwhelmed. Anyone have any ideas about that?
