When you can't talk
This week i had two lucids and i think it was just last night in my second lucid when my dream was dark. I tried to turn it into day time by saying i think it was, turn on light or something, it didn't work, i said it twice and the dream ended. What is the cause of some people not being able to speak or having trouble speaking in dreams? And how can you fight this? Because while i was saying those things, i could barely move or open my mouth. And another thing, in almost all my dreams i hardly ever attempted to speak, lucid or not. 90 percent of my dreams i don't speak.

What happens in your dreams is mostly a product of your expectations. If you expect to have trouble talking in your dreams, chances are you will. I used to have a similar problem with speaking, and it didn't go away until I learned that others had no trouble at all. I can speak and even sing in them now, as long as I have confidence that I can. Just keep trying, and you should find your voice soon enough.

Well, what you said i tried and it worked, before i went to sleep i thought to myself, i expect to talk in my dream and i really believed it and i spoke in my dream last night, in a brief conversation but i was able to talk very clearly and even got excited, this was in a non lucid, all my dreams this week were vivid, i had only 4 dreams this week every day but only 2 were lucid and they had basically the same theme in almost all of them except one, food.
