For the love of lucid. I think I'm losing dream control.

Yeah. Three nights ago, I had an LD where I was on the sidewalk and a big light gray tarantula appeared (height was about to my stomach). It was walking towards me menacingly, and I said, 'hey, you can't harm me, I'm dreaming'. But then I felt a bunch of spiders crawling over my face and then I couldn't see anything. I was like, '****'.

Then, two nights ago, I had an LD where I was in some sort of a bank, and I decided to have a bit of fun and try breaking in to a vault. I successfully set off a bomb and wow, there was tons of money. However, this bald guy suddenly started running towards me, and I said, 'stop!' and held my hand out. But it didn't work. Again, I was like, 'WTF?' and then I had to run. I looked back once, and then when I turned around I flew straight into a dark hole, as if I had died.

I found my dream guide in another lucid dream last night (name is Cody) by asking my art teacher at a hospital near my house. xD However, some aspects of that dream as well I had little control over, including following my dream guide. As soon as I turned away, she disappeared into a puff of smoke.

I also just want to say this for personal reference and for the purpose of viewing: I also used WBTB to WILD last night (around after 8 hours of sleep), and had the most freaking vivid SP ever. I felt like I was flying through a warp zone and heard whispering of a girl right next to my ears, saying 'you haven't been good' and other stuff. As well as this, I saw tons of white and grey boxes, perfectly lined up, with nonsensical words. I felt a bit of vibrations too, but more like they were from the force of moving through that 'warp zone'. But damn it, my alarm went off right then. It didn't continue, which I hoped it would.

Halp with the dream control issue? :C

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

You can hardly have dream control issues if you don't believe you can have them.

It's all about the expected result. What happens when you do something in dreams isn't the natural consequence of the action - it's what you believe would be the natural consequence of your action. And mind that you aren't thinking very logically in dreams so don't always expect logical results.

So if you believe you can do anything then you can (and if it looks like your control will fail then you know that it only looks that way). It can be hard to convince yourself you can do anything with dreams seeming so realistic, though, and some real world physics-related beliefs are too deeply ingrained to be easily ignored.

Try not to think of your surroundings in dreams in terms of the real world. The objects in dreams aren't really made of molecules. They aren't made of anything at all. They're only "there" because you see (/hear/feel/etc) them there.

You should also try to realize how it makes sense that you would be able to control your dreams. They're all in your head. Anyone can learn how to do it.
You are dreaming. Yes you are.

I disagree. I understand what you mean, but I think that Demara might be experiencing something I did a few months a go.
I hadn't had a lucid in ages, and I finally started getting them again. But for some reason I couldn't control anything. I believed I could and I tried my hardest, but no luck. I couldn't create things. I couldn't change things. It was confusing and upsetting.

First I recommend you maintain lucidity by doing RCs or rubbing your hands. If you lose control, its easy to get caught up with the dream and forget you are dreaming. Too easy, in fact.

Secondly you should start looking at new techniques of controlling dreams. My old technique no longer works for me now. I had to learn and refine an alternative way of controlling dreams. Yep. I had to start from scratch, which was actually pretty awesome because it gave me some goals. I am so good at controlling dreams now though (well, in most cases) that I can do anything - from nuking my city, to causing tornadoes with a flick of my wrist, pulling a skyscraper down to the ground (while in it ) and changing my clothes without even trying (as you will know if you have read my DJ).
Funny story in fact. I found myself naked in a parking lot. Rather than freak out I just imagined a black suit and it suddenly appeared. A DC saw me and lost its mind.

So basically, start looking around for a new method to control your dreams with. It could be just because you have lost faith in having the ability to control your dreamworld - either way looking for a new technique to rule your dreams will help you get over it!

      Good luck!

      IMHO,

Don't think. Thoughts manifest themselves in the lucid world.
