Well I finally got somthing working for me (had a lucid dream every night for like 4 days ) but they all are the same after entering the dream (WILD or dild im always in my room) I try to get out and when I open the door and everything goes black..then im back in my bed..I do a RC and i'm still dreaming..This is getting to be frustating because i will be doing this for 15-20 min til i finally wake up for real?Any suggestions? |

Forget the door, just jump through the window. Make sure that you're dreaming first though. |

Yeah listen to Levels, he's got the right idea. In a lucid i had before, i wanted to go outside, i was in my room. Instead of leaving my room, going down the hallway, and going out the front or back door; i jumped through the window. In another dream, i was in a house that i had never been in before and i wanted to get outside. I flew through the roof. If you want to go outside, most of the time, it's faster to fly through the roof or a window. Plus it's a lot more fun than using a door. |

I've seem many of these questions. The multiple answers I have seen include the jumping out the window, way. Or you could close your eyes, visualize where you want to go, and teleport there. Best of luck, hope you get around this obstacle! |
I disadvise closing your eyes. When I open them back up, I open them in waking life. |
Try sticking your arm outward, so that your arm and hand are within your line of sight in the dream. Then, visualize where you want to go, and start spinning! |
First off, congrats on having a lucid 4 nights in a row! |

Did you try the windows? I almost never use my door when I WILD. Just go straight for the windows. I push my hands through the glass and the rest of my body follows suit pretty easily. And if that doesn't work, try putting your back to the glass and falling through it backwards. |

All my lucid dreams start in my room, either from false awakenings, or becoming lucid while being in my room in the dream. And I ALWAYS walk through the door (no, I don't open it, I WALK through it). I don't know why I always do this, I just know I do it |
Spoiler for Goals:
I tried walking through windows and walls and spinning to teleport last night. Spinning did nothing, and all I did was run into the walls/windows. Which hurt cause i didn't do anything to stop myself. |
Doors are evil. So are portals where you can't see the destination. |
You have to really believe you will go through the wall or else it won't work. |
If you go through a door a expect you to go to a different place will you? Like walk through the door and be outside. |

UUGH |
Spoiler for Goals:
Walking through a door and expecting something behind is harder than it sounds actually. |
Spoiler for Goals:
Maybe you shoudl try to "Flee" from your room? You know, tie your sheets and climb out fo the window? Got no idea if it will work, but try it out! |

Heh, it reminds me of Room 1408. |

Before you go to bed at night, make a point of walking through your door, or looking out your window. Either walk the path you will take to get out of your room, or visualize yourself doing it. Sort of like a dry run. Then, when you find yourself in the dream, just try to remember what it feels like to open that door and walk out. It is sometimes easier to remember than it is to visualize. |
