How do I continue a dream, or how do i go to a place i have had dreams before?

Hey, so I have had some cool dreams before, but I can't seem to continue them the following night. I know this has happened to every at least once. Don't you all have a dream you were sad to be awoken from, then the next night, no matter how hard you tried you just couldn't continue the dream from where it left off? If anyone knows the answer, please tell me, because it will also benefit not just me, but others. :(

never "tried" to cause a recurrence, but i would believe one would need to immerse his/her self completely all day with the events of that dream. Meditate on it all day, try keeping a visualization of it in your my all day. This is the path i would take to attempting this.
