Controlling the perspective of your dream?

In my dreams, I'm always observing things from 3rd person. I want to be able to participate in my dreams with my own body instead of just watching others, so I have just 2 questions. 1. Is there a way for me to chage the perspective of my dream so that I can try things out from 1st person? 2. If I'm able to dream in 1st person, how will the experience be different from my dreams in 3rd person? Thank you to anyone who has an answer.

Is it like a video-game? Cause if it is then the answer is pretty simple. Just scroll the scrollbar on your non-existent mouse until your back in first person! I'm just supposing your Lucid when this happens, 'cause if your not I wouldn't know what to say. I don't know how to respond to the second thing... I've never dreamed in third person.

If you're lucid, you could change the view to first person but I've never tried it. Using a video game settings list could help

I also have problems with changing perspective, i hate the 3rd perspective thing and it makes lds utterly boring , unfortunatly most of my dreams are third person

I'm not experienced in lucid dreaming, in fact I've quite recently had my first lucid dream (since joining the site). But i believe changing the perspective would be very possible. I mean, everything in the dream is created by the mind, I'd imagine i would try to close my eyes and try to rebuild the scenario, only in 1st/3rd. In fact, I would like to play with the perspective and try to do backflips (as a way to learn/improve them while awake). However when in 3rd person, would you control yourself just like normal, or would it be like a puppet?

I imagine being lucid in third person isn't that much fun. All I can think of to help you is be creative, tell yourself that you aren't in third person. You are just hovering above the scene and who knows- maybe then you will float back down to the ground and be in first person... worth a shot!! As for your second question, being in 1 person view is definitely better because it feels more real, you can reach down and touch things and for me that is the best thing to do in a ld. Good Luck
