      creative visualization.
...close your eyes and feel yourself sink into an image that is incredibly safe, comfortable, and loving for you, then let it grow. Ground it with a soft word or phrase that helps trigger the experience. Practice, Practice, Practice. Eventually you'll close your eyes, sink into this image, and continue straight into a lucid dream. BE VERY CAREFUL developing this skill. There are times in which it is best to stay awake.... i'm thinking of driving (or making love- they hate it when you fall asleep!!!).

yep. i use this technique the most when i have the least amount of time to sleep!!! POWER LUCIDITY!!!

Fortunately i've been somewhat blessed with natural lucidity and the determination to practice, master, and utilize relaxation techniques. the key to developing any technique??? patience, practice, and a sense of humor. The more you practice, have fun, and enjoy yourself.... the more you'll progress.

Once I start dreaming I will still have my full logical functions right? So I can actually do what I wanted to do since I went into the dream?

during creative visualization... you'll have full bodily control AND creative control over the sensory images.

during lucid dreaming.... you'll have (with lots of patience and practice) full creative control.

BUT, once in the dream state, you will not have bodily control unless you purposefully 'wake' yourself from the dream state into the waking state. It is possible to move freely between the two, but again, it takes practice, practice, practice.

Please keep in mind the most important piece of information.... creative visualization and actual 'sleep states' are not physiologically interchangable. If your body needs sleep, then, please, allow yourself to stay asleep!!!

Creative Visualization is what? Where I can actually see in front of me what I am thinking about? Like if I think of a cube there is a cube there? This is right before lding right?

use 'creative visulization' as search words in a search engine (like google) and devour as much information as possible. the more you learn, practice, and enjoy, the more you'll develop this skill (as well as many other very useful skills for developing your lucidity). enjoy.

Be aware; some wilds can only last up to a few minutes, It took me a few tries and an extreemly leanient scedule before I was able to preform it. Take your time and dont get discouraged! <3

I had tried it 4 times and I dont see any progress at all. At first i thought it was because I lied in bed for a short time and got bored, but today I rested for 1.45 hrs and nothing at all happened (not even HI or SP).

      What should I do?

Well it is extremely hard to WILD when you first go to bed at night, make sure if you are trying to do it after at least 4-5 hours of sleep, your REM cycles are much longer than and the odds of going into a dream are much better. WILDS take a long time to master and take full control, and the first few times you even succeed the experience will probably be to intense and you'll wake up. It takes lots of patience and dedication to wake up when you are tired, stay up for a while to wake your mind up, and then go back to bed, lay there, try not to move that much, and think about going into the dream world while concious. Tell yourself what you want to dream about, think about it in your head, visualize the scenery and keep doing that until you fall asleep, eventually you'll feel yourself go into sleep paralysis and then you are only moments away from entering the dream world, but dont actively try to jump right into the dream once you see it coming or you will probably just wake up. YOu have to passively let yourself enter it, gain your control over yourself then HAVE FUN. its hard man, 4 tries is nothing. Of course the first 5 times i tried I was successful 100%, but thats just me, i think I have a knack for WILDS. It can take people years to master the technique.

For most people, they are far easier when used with WBTB, as the sleep cycle will continue with an REM period. Once you are skilled with a WILD technique, you can try to use it without WBTB.

When you go back to bed, lie down comfortably. Now tense and relax your body, starting from your shoulders and working downwards, then back up to the face. This (or similar relaxation, meditation, or trance techniques) should make your body feel slightly heavy and relaxed.[/b]

Well yeah, thats the hardest part about trying to WILD... Fallilng asleep while concious is not fuckin easy man, it can take some people a long time to figure out.. for some reason it is pretty easy for me to do so I guess its hard for me to tell you what you are doing wrong. when you are laying there, you have to get relaxed as possible, dont be afraid to switch postions every now and then, you dont have to not move. What are you thinking in your head to yourself while you are trying to fall asleep?? Maybe you are thinking to hard. Try taking some melatonin before you go to bed, makes it much easier for me to fall back asleep upon waking that usual... alright, i'm wasted and could be saying nonsense, soo good luck man.. have u even had a normal lucid yet???

Well I am super excited that you got that far...Are you sure it was sleep paralysis, what were u going through?? once you start feeling the vibrations throughout your body and start hearing shit that shouldn't be there you are only moments away from going into the dream world, but that is the hardest part to stay calm and relaxed in because you have no idea what is going on.... Just gotta keep thinking to yourself, I will be dreaming soon, I'm going to be dreaming soon....And eventually you will be there...Keep up the good work man... and anything I can do to help, just keep on asking

Yeah the first few times you become lucid, its almost insane how crazy the dreamworld can be while you are concious. You cant believe you have been fooling yourself for so many years, thats how real it can be. I can tell you have the dedication to do it though, so just keep up the good work, stay focused on dreaming and lucid dreaming....talk about it at work with your friends, tell people about your dreams from the past night, and research the dream websites whenever you can and you will be well on your way. Do you do reality checks throughout the day?? I like to look at clocks and while i'm driving I usually read signs a couple times to make sure i'm not dreaming...Although this morning i did a reality check while dreaming and I noticed the flaw, but was still unable to become lucid because I gave an excuse for the numbers being wrong, stupid stupid stupid!!!
