...Just stand there and summon them by having them appear behind you! Have them touch your shoulder with their hand. Jump a little bit as if surprised. Then, say their name in a half-joking and half-annoyed way, and turn around while expecting them to be there. I've tried this out in my previous couple LDs with good results.
It's quicker than changing locations to where they may be (or, where you're just thinking they would be).
I may try this because lately I haven't been able to summon an ant let alone any specific DC's.
Another option would be trying to transmute an existing DC into the person you're looking for. But I agree, so far, searching for people has been a waste of my precious lucid time. There's got to be a better way than that.
I've never actually tried to find someone yet... I just kind of assumed I could open a door and they would be standing there. I think I'll give this summon-from-behind-me technique a shot, too!
Anyone tried the opening a door idea?
hmm, that's the way I plan to summon DCs when I get lucid since it seems to be the most stable, however, so does this method. I don't think it really matters, as long as you don't destabilize the dream and wake up from it :)Quote:

Instead, what I do is pretend that I am looking for them to ask them a casual question. You know, like just call their name out like you need to ask them something. Eg: "Elizabeth? I need to ask you something..." and while I do this, I walk through doors as if expecting to find them in there. They usually appear and ask me what it is I want. :]
Why didn't I think of this before? This should make things much easier for me to find DC's. :D
In the LD I had last night I was heading for a place with lots of people. I just thought "she will be there" and she was. :P Looks like this is an easy way to summon DCs, at least for me. :)
