      Lucid dreams very unstable

Hi. Last time I had a lucid I looked around me, everything was clear, in HD, but when I looked to my hands it became very unstable ( frames per second drop) I tried to spin but it did nothing... Anyone has experienced this? And how can I "fix" this, because I dont make any ideas on what happened. PS: on other lucid dreams they faded away when I rubbed my hands. So shouldn't I look to my hands?

      Talking

      Hey...
Well, when you looked at your hands, did you expect something to be wrong...(cause subconsciously you know that when looking at your hands in a dream...it won't be as clear as in real life and that's what tells you it's only a dream)
The only thing I could suggest is rub your hands and spin again,or simply (re-)stabilize the dream...

Hope it helps and good luck,
      Sam
The idea is to remain in a constant state of departure while always arriving..

There is nothing you can't do in dreams. As Samir says, you probably subconsciously expected your hands to be somewhat unclear because you were aware that it was a dream. But if you believe you can see your hands and rub your hands, nothing can stop you from doing it.
In a lucid dream I had, I was looking for somewhere private to be so I could hide from other people. I hid in a toilet cubicle. But because I was scared of being found, the doors and walls of the cubicle were so low that i was completely exposed. Also people were trying to open the door. I didn't expect this to happen, but we hide because we do not want to be found. Maybe in future I should not hide at all or give myself any reason to hide. It is harder than I thought to truly realise that anything is possible.

      Spoiler for lucid dream goals:

You have to expect to prolong the dream. Lucid dream control is all about expectation whatever you expect to happen more than likely will happen.

But I have seen that most of the people were liked to gone with lucid dream. But nothing worry. You will try something new.

Looking at your hands does nothing. It's a myth that has been misinterpreted from the books of Carlos Castaneda.

Spinning doesn't work because it's too disorienting. Everything requires your attention to exist in dreams, and you can't focus on your surrounding properly when you're spinning. But the basics of spinning are sound, which is vigorous interaction with your environment. Try running, jumping or flying.

+5 the looking at your hands thing is entirely different.

Personally I find the best stabilizer is to have as much sesory interaction with the dream world as possible. Feeling the textures of surfaces around me is something I usually turn to. For some reason I have had experiences with rubbing my hands together reducing the stability of the dream.

Hmm the other day I looked at my hands because I knew it was a lucid dream so I did some reality checks and 1 of which involved me studying my hands for something unusual and trying to push my thumb through my hand. But when I looked at my hands at first they were clear then when I went to push my thumb through it started getting really blurry like I was going to pass out from pain but I wasnt in pain and continued and it worked but by then everything was soo blurry and out of focus and I remembered that spinning was supposed to be a good way stay lucid so I try it and i forgot that when doing so you often end up somewhere different and when I stopped I was so started by that, that I blacked out and lost lucidity.
