Question Tiring (draining energy) quickly using abilities in LD's. (trying to solve)

I've always seemed to have had this problem, but lately it seems to come on quicker.

Basically what happens to me is after using powers in LD's. (Most commonly shooting some sort of lightning or flame, causing earthquakes etc) As I use the power I will start to tire extremely quickly. The length of time it take seems to vary depending on what I am doing. For example flying is a fairly small drain, but doing things like shooting lightning from my hands etc. can leave me completely drained in what feels like 30 seconds or so.

Take last night, I was attempting to destroy a structure that rose form the ground. I was hovering in the air shooting lightning from both hands, after about 15 seconds I started to feel weak, over the next 15 seconds I slowly sank back to the ground as I focused all my energy trying to maintain the lightning. Eventually that gave out as well and I woke from the dream breathing heavily. (I attempted to DEILD but I was unable to fully catch my breath in the position I was laying in)

I'm not sure if the worsening of this problem recently is due being ill the last 6+ weeks, and not breathing as well at night in general, or if it is purely in my mind. (Right after I got sick, when I was in bed for basically 3 weeks straight, I actually woke from an LD with a horrible splitting migraine one morning, which I've never gotten before)

Is this just from watching TV/movies in which extended use of powers usually leaves people drained afterwords, and therefore simply in my head due to expecting it, or is there actually something to it? Any tips to avoid this are welcomed.
      Most used LD method: DEILD

Powers I've used so far: Teleportation, Telekinesis, Flying, Walking through walls, Summoning People, Throwing fire, Throwing energy balls, Throwing lightening, Causing earthquakes, Self Healing, Altering others bodies, Giving/Removing power from DC's.

That's an interesting dilemma. I'd guess that yes, it's the mindset aquired from watching movies where people are drained after using powers. Try not to think about how you're going to be "drained" after using powers and the lack of expectation should prevent it from happening.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Start training in raises your Mana / Magic points and Mana /Magic Recovery. I don't know how to do that XD but their must be a way, maybe moving energy inside your own dream body without losing it.

I understand how you feel I did it in meditation and I was WASTED nearly the rest of the day XD

Someone who can provide some tips to raise your magic/ mana points and recovery? or getting mind tired ?

Just remember, when you're weak, you can always reach in your pocket for the magic flute:
      Spoiler for Flute!:

And give it a good blow. Then, the magic fairy:
      Spoiler for Fairy!:

Will come over and you will recover your energy. Yay.

Just try that. It's all about belief.
I don't usually think, therefore I mostly am not.

Yes, I agree that it is all about your expectations.

You could try either breaking your unconscious belief that using powers will tire you out, or perhaps try using more indirect dream control (eg, ask a DC to give you a jetpack or a flying potion if you want to fly).

Maybe try arranging the situation so you're "channelling" the energy required from another source i.e. not yourself.

Hmm.. I guess you could "find" and magical amulet that when worn instantaneously restores your energy.

      Hey...
Sounds like an RPG to me^^...
Hmm,make it interesting...create a well from which you can drink or an altar where you would pray in order to gain energy...
Carry around 'energy potions' and use whenever you need it...
      Hope it helps,
      Sam
The idea is to remain in a constant state of departure while always arriving..

alright im just not goint to read about this because then i might have the same problem too when i get my first decent LD.
it's like the sleep paralysis thing, i probably wouldn't be so afraid from every small sound that i hear while trying it if i haden't looked up so much about it and seeing the scary videos.

Hm, don't think thats a problem, I like it that way actually, makes it much more real and fun to play with the dream.
I mean, you could just train so you get more energy and don't tire so fast, but don't eliminate the tiring.
