problem with flying
It's the opposite of what you're expecting. I'm not having trouble flying in my LDs, but in fact having trouble not flying.
weird.
I've had 2 LDs this week and in both instances the moment I became lucid, gravity ceased to exist and I would go up and up and up. Although the first time I flew I was very happy because I had never experienced that before, I feel like if I'm just flying (and this is more of just an upward floating), then I can't get the most out of my LDs. Also, both of these LDs have ended while I was floating/flying.
Any suggestions?

Hey, I am an Experienced Lucid Dreamer, But not on this forum.... I Think i know what your problem is... This has happened to me before... And my LD control techinique is going with the dream... So if this happened i would think "Well, i think someone turned off gravity!" Then, try looking around for a switch that turns gravity on and off.... You can also trey flying down towards the ground, then put your feet on the ground. Distract the dream so it forgets about the flying aspect, and gets on another idea.... like having a conversation with someone...

Yeah, it happened to me before, just will yourself to go down or make gravity appear again.

When I try to fly I often think "Up! UP!" In this case, if you're having issues staying down, think "Down!" Focus on the sensation of your feet touching the ground and do your best to just walk normally.
The others posted excellent advice as well.

Sometimes when you say something it usually helps too.... Like "Gravity on!!" or (like in the post above) say down, don't just think it

I'ts funny that you posted about that, I actually had the same problem for a while. Its like I would walk through a door then all the sudden start floating up, it can get kind of annoying. Anyways I didn't do anything special to stop it, I guess it just kind of stopped happening after a while, it will probably come back now that its in my mind again ;)
