      Recent Vivid Dream

I recently had a dream that had several powerful symbols from my life in it and I would love feedback on the dream from anyone who is interested in discussing.

Two years ago a relationship with a woman I loved dearly ended, and I didn't really want it to end. I think sometimes I would love to have it restart, but it's just not going to happen. She left because of "instability" reasons, basically I quit my job and was pursuing artwork for a while, now I've returned to a very promising career.

      So...

We are on a boat on a river in china, emerald cliffs rising above us, waterfalls, just like the paintings you might have seen from the chinese masters. We are on the top deck of a massive boat, talking and embracing. She is telling me that she really just wanted to give me space, so that I would become motivated again (we've never had this conversation in reality) and that she is ready to come back to me.

I tell her that I am not interested and that I feel like she abandoned me. Right as I say this, we begin to pass a section of the cliffs where there are thousands of seated buddhas made from all kinds of different precious metals and stones. They are all different and looking down directly at me.

I feel like I need to get away from her and I begin to look for another part of the boat to be in, where i can be away from her.

When i get to the exit, there is a swarm of wasps blocking my way, i try and get stung several times, at which point I wake up.

I've tried to do some research on this, but have gotten nowhere.

I'd like to learn more about some of the larger symbols: the river, boat, buddha or religious icon(possibly also teacher), ex lover, mountains, wasps, blocked exit.

Anything else you might spot would be grand.

      Thanks.

in my opinion dreams like this are actually gifts from someone or something rather than your subconciousness alone. if you are religious i would recamend talking to god and also try contacting her. its obvios to me that someone is trying to tell you something i wouldnt pass this oppertunity up

      These are just some ideas:

You want to get away from the woman in your dream because you have been hurt by her. There are those who believe that human beings only nature is to avoid pain. Perhaps you are afraid of being hurt again? or perhaps you feel resentful of her hurting you?

There along seem to be a lot of ideas of being trapped in your dream... being on a boat, towering cliffs, the river, wasps blocking your exit. This coupled with the idea of "giving you space" may be a subconcious plee for freedom. You quit your job to persue art, this could be aquated this with reaching for more personal freedom.

Try to take a look within yourself and see if you feel hurt, trapped, or the need to feel free... also try to remember we are all individuals, but at the same time connected by that fact. No one is perfect, everyone makes mistakes, if you feel hurt remember that pain is a human emotion. Feeling is what makes us human, and some might say devine.

I didn't quite mean that, only that you don't always have to fear pain.
