      Dreaming about trains

I often dream about trains. Not like in every dream but very often.
It can be anything from just a rail to the metro or large freight trains. Most of the times, I have an unpleasant feeling of stress.
Sometimes I am running along a rail, and I have to watch out for trains so I'm not getting hit. Sometimes I am on a train that I shouldn't be on, or it is taking me to a bad place. Sometimes I have to cross a rail, and it's hard 'cuz trains are coming all the time and when they don't, I don't want to get an electric shock from the cables beside the rails. It happens that train-dreams contains dangerous electricity that I have to watch out for.
The trains can also just be parts of the background, but the feeling is mostly unpleasant whether the trains has a big meaning in the dream or not.

I have never been in a train accident in real life, but I have been dreaming about trains since I was a little child. I am now 17 years old, a girl. I've been traveling with trains my entire life but not more or less often than others. In real life I have not any problems or fears with trains.

If you want me to write down one or a couple of these train dreams, I could do that. I hope this is enough with information.

When traveling on trains does it ever cause you anxiety, irl or do you enjoy it? I did some research and some suggest it could mean you are worried about conforming to outside imagery or that there is some force in your life controlling you. you are on a train being driven with no real control. Does any of this sound close or am I way off. Telling me one of your dreams in detail, preferably from when you were younger might help.

I have no problems at all with traveling with trains irl.. I don't enjoy it either, I just get bored while traveling with trains.

The last dream I had about trains actually became lucid, I was on a still train at a platform to say goodbye to a friend who was going away with the train, I was in a hurry to get in time for class, and before I was going to get of it, it began to go. Then I realized that I was dreaming and that I could do whatever I wanted to, so I tried to quick figure out some way to get back to the platform. The passenger train turnet into a freight train and the wagons went flatbed, so I ran to the end of the train, jumping from flatbed to flatbed and it felt like they became smaller and smaller under me. When I finally was on the last flatbed, it was close to a platform on which where I jumped off. So, finally I wasn't on that crazy train anymore. The problem I had now was that the platform was closed and it was electrical fences with barbed wire around it and I had to get out. So I jumped into the fence, trying to get out, but got stuck. I felt the electricity through my body and tried to figure out what the hell I had to do now. Once again I reminded myself that it was still just a dream, so I pushed myself back to the platform and took a bullet once again, and did a flip over the fence which was like 2m high. I ran the fastest I could to get to class, and when I was almost there I met my teacher in a part of the schoolyard. I thought she would be angry or dissappointed of that I was so late, but she didn't seem to. That's where the dream ended, I guess. When I ran I think I forgot that it was a dream, 'cause it wasn't lucid in the end.

I was feeling stressed the whole dream but I never paniced, I just knew that I had to do something about the problems quickly.

I get a lot of these too. In fact not only trains, but anything that follows a route - cars, buses, even walking on long tracks through forests etc.
I still haven't really figured out the symbolism, but it seems to be something to do with how I explore life. I keep safe - "on track" if you like. Conversely I rarely dream about walking through fields or some kind of random routing like that. Would you say the same is true for your dreams?
