(sorry i can't spell! Interpret** (title))

I'm an 18 year old female, a senior in high school. (If you need more info just ask please). And there's this new teacher at school, she's 22 and fresh out of college. I have not, nor will I have her as a teacher. I've only talked with her a few times.(Again, if more info is needed please ask.)

So anyway, in my dream I was standing with her in a large space with bench seating. I'm not sure where it was but it was like a gym or stadium or something. It wasn't crowded, but there were other random people around. For some reason I had set a purple headband on the seat behind me (we were standing). She reached down, picked up the purple headband, and placed it on my head. She ran her fingers through my hair, making sure it looked good. In my dream I felt the urge to kiss her, but I held back. And that's all I really remember.

Why do I feel like I have a huge crush on her? I'm straight.

I'd really, really appreciate an interpretation! Thanks for reading.

Possibly because you admire her? Dreams are funny though, most of the time they mean something, but sometimes it's just useless information they're sorting.

I don't think a few words on a page can produce any truth about a complex analysis.

Since that much would be obvious, what is the real point of the question?

If you want a symbolic interpretation, purple is royalty. So, it may be, interpreted, that you have been chosen as some kind of royalty of young teachers. It has nothing to do with sexuality.

I agree, but I have an extension for that.

You think she might give you a chance to be well respected, high-honor, authority, or something to that effect. When this happens, you will be very grateful for what she did. Obviously, in this dream that was over-exaggerated.

There are several symbols pointing to school/school mates. You want the approval of someone you do not like...most likely someone at school. Purple is authority and a headband catches sweat.Together those symbols mean authority in your work. it is something that actually helps you when you are hard at work. You are probably disliking her for presumed reasons, and may find that her efforts will compliment your school/educational goals and empower your future.

Well, the person in the dream can be absolutely anyone, known or random. That love/intimacy feeling is very common in dreams and many people experience it in relation to dream characters known and unknown.

My take on the dream is that it has more to do with your locating your feelings and desires for intimacy. I think we can hypothesise forever about why it is this particular teacher that's appeared and why she's not your sexual preference. Not really an interpretation, but for me an opportunity to become familiar with a side of you that desires intimacy.

I don't think this is a sexual thing at all. In your dream and in your own words, you put the headband "behind" you on a chair. She reached back and not only bright it to the forefront, but she placed it on your head like a crown and made adjustments to make sure you "looked good" by adjusting your hair (adjusting your strength/power/covering).. this is symbolic and not literal. She helped you with bringing something back into the forefront of your life that you put on the back burner. She symbolizes someone that you would not expect to do something so kind and so uplifting for you. You are so moved by this act, that you wanted to express affection and appreciation for it.(kissing desire). As, you can see, this is not a sexual thing at all.

Further to me earlier post, I should add that I don't think it's sexual either. I deliberately use words like "intimate" but this could equally refer to an infant/parent relationship or to friends with whom we feel secure.

We're born from an intimate relationship with our mother when in the womb - and some say our desire to return to that state never goes away. We just look for it in others and confiuse it with sex.
