      A Dream From My Childhood

When I was young, around 6-8, I had a recurring dream. My recollection and the dream itself varied a little, but the general content was the same and I'll give you the fullest version I have.

My family was going on a camping trip or something and we pass by this giant pit with sand walls. Somehow I end up falling into the pit and I can't get out because of the sandy walls. Sometimes my family is crossing a ravine on a log to the side of the pit(which is between 50 and 90 feet deep). Then a mountain lion which was either there in the beginning or came in later starts going after me, but I can't escape. I yell to my family but they either can't hear me or don't save me in time. Just as the mountain lion jumps at me with its jaws open I wake up.

I used to have many other dreams about big cats attacking and wonder if it means anything.

We all have had those. I remember my recurring dreams. Some were nice, some were not.

Maybe it meant that you were going to have a time where you were going to have a problem you couldn't escape. No one could save you either because you didn't ask for help in time or it was inevitable no matter what.

Maybe cats were supposed to be a big part of your life. You may have had an experience with one that was life changing and the dream was trying to tell you it would happen.

Sometimes it's hard to interpret dreams from an outside point of view try interpreting it yourself.. Cuase you know more about what was going on in your life... Plus things were way more simpler when you were 6-8

I think Yume is probably correct in that your subcoscious might have been trying to tell you to watch out for some situation or dilema that if allowed to remain unheeded would eventually leave you trapped and unable to do anything about. I believe that the symbology of the cat represented the nature of whatever the problem may have been. Big cats are elusive and are great at stalking. So, this problem could have been something that was laying in wait and if you didn't pay attention would metaphoricly pounce on you and then, game over.

      Just my twist.
