      Reccuring dream

I've had the same dream for the past 3 nights in a row. I am in my living room with my roommates and all of a sudden there is a man in my living room. The man is a guy that works at the same restaurant as i do. I dont really know him very well other than speaking once, maybe twice, on slow days. I ask him what he is doing in my house, but he doesnt answer. He then walks upstairs in to my bedroom and steals the teddy bear off my bed. This teddy bear is very special to me. My grandmother gave it to me when i was 4 years old for christmas, i am now 23, and i sleep with him every night. I spend the rest of dream chasing this guy from work around my house trying to get the bear back.

Does anyone have any ideas what this could possibly mean?

First of all, I doubt very much if this man is really a bear thief.

But there does seem to be something about him that has triggered this warning in your dream. Not his fault, of course, but everything about how your mind works. Whatever this teddy bear represents to you, there is a fear that someone or something can take it away. Might be as simple as knowing that you have the power to let go of this attachment yourself and this is something you deny (like you have to explicitly state above that it's "special").

A final thought is that the bear is a "him" as is the thief. Two aspects of masculinity in conflict for you?

I'll try my hand at it. Let's get more information. Answer the questions to the best of your ability.

What sort of building do you live in? And how do you feel when you are there as supposed to somewhere else. This dream could have taken place in your parent's house, but it didn't.
You say you don't know this guy very well, but make judgments or have feelings about a person before we ever really know him. What is he like? What does he look like? What is your impression of him? How do you feel around him?
Can you describe more fully what the teddy bear means to you, and why? A bit more, if you can, than the fact that you got it as a gift from your grandmother when you were 4. Why does this make it important to you?
