Head wounds and two case scenarios

Something strange happened in my dream last night...
So here's how it went down, in my dream, I accidentally gave my boyfriend a head wound. Then the dream sort of split in two, on the left side I could see one case scenario and on the right I could see another, sort of like when they split the screen in two in movies or TV shows.
On the left, I put some alcohol on his wound to cure it, and asked him over and over again if he was ok, I was feeling extremely anxious. He laughed it off though and kept telling me not to worry.
On the right, he was unconscious, and I put some alcohol on the wound and tried to wake him up in so many ways, like pouring water on his face, making him smell stuff... But he wouldn't wake up and my panic was escalating. I was on the verge of going completely crazy (it's happened before in a few of my dreams, this is where all I can do is scream and cry until the dream is over), but something in the back of my mind kept telling me it was ok, because over on the left, he was conscious and well.

I bet the fact that I gave him a head wound has some significance, but I suck at interpreting dreams... Any help?
