      School Shootings and Flying Cats?

In the first, myself and three other guys are planning to bring fake guns to school and scare the crap out of a lot of people. We meet at my locker, which is in the building across from the main building of the school. We walk over to the main building, but halfway there realize we forgot the guns and so we go back. We again walk to the main building and go in through the front door. The main office is right on your left when you go in and so the one guy Nick knocks on the closed door. The door opens, Nick levels the gun, and fires. There are screams. I'm behind the other guys against the left wall, so I can't see anything that's happening. I'm appalled because I didn't think we were actually going to kill anyone. Nick then says "I have always wanted to do that!" - or at least words to that effect. Nick walks into the office and hauls out this guy Dom who's pale as a sheet but completely unhurt - he even winked at me.

At this point the whole thing seems to come apart. Mrs. Smith (not her real name, but you understand.) gets Nick and the other guys and hauls them down the hall towards the cafeteria. I follow, but the guys have disappeared and Mrs. Smith is still walking. I follow her into room seven, which is at the end of the hall, and sit down in the row farthest from the door, three seats back. I'm confused because Mrs. Smith doesn't seem to see me. I sit quietly and wait. The room is 3/4 full of seniors, with 1/3 of them fairly hot girls. Everyone is in normal clothes, which is strange. (This is unusual because the school is an all-boys high school. We have uniforms with suit coats and ties, but this is apparently not the case in my dream.) They all start the scantron tests which were sitting on their desks. Mrs. Smith is off to the opposite side of the room and not saying anything. I'm sitting behind a good-looking girl with straight, black, shoulder length hair.

I sit there silently for maybe 40-45 minutes before a senior who I was sort of friends with named Dave comes in. He sits down in the seat next to me one row over. After the current period ended, there would be two more periods left until the day ended. My plan, after Mrs. Smith didn't see me, was to stay in room seven until the day ended. When Dave came in however, one or two other unknown guys came in too. Mrs. Smith yells at "us" to get out because they're taking a test. I think she means me as well, so I get up and go to my history class. It's blurry up until close to the end. Mr. Smith (again, not his real name) is telling us what to study for our "final test", though we've already finished all our finals. Someone says "Hey! Wasn't John involved in the shooting?" Mr. Smith just sort of laughs it off that I would be dumb enough to do something like that.

For some reason we're all standing in front of my church on the sidewalk and stairs. Everything is blurry again, then I'm calling Dom (from the school office I think). I say something like, " You're at the dermatologist's right?" He says yes, then we have a good conversation which I don't remember. I finally wake up at 6:00 am.

Note: When we were all walking into the school, I see a brownish cat which is capable of flying like a flying squirrel. (STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT!) The cat is attempting to make friends with a reddish-orange cat. Both are male. The red cat hisses, it's fur stands up, and it swats the brown cat on the nose. The brown cat hisses and jumps up and glides a few feet away. I don't know why, but the brown cat is apparently mine though I don't remember it having a name.

Can anyone help me interpret this?
Which leads to the ultimate question:
What would happen if one were eating hot soup with a potential spoon while sitting on a non-existent fence?

      Dear Loegaire,

First, your Dream is telling you that your are being disingenuous with yourself in regards to your judgment and opinions of your friends. You KNOW that some of your friends are actually evil and sinister, but for the sake of their company (are they the only friends you can find?) you are willing to suppose they are just pretending and playing at being lowlife monsters. But now you should know better.

The part of your dream about being back in school, even after graduation, is a common motif which follows one throughout a lifetime. Typically the scenario is that we are expected to take some final exams for which we had not spent a moments preparation. what do these dreams mean? They mean that we have been lazy intellectually. Your particular dream means that you should take up the study of History.

You know, some people as adults get stupider and stupider and stupider. As their school years recede behind them, they forget whatever little they ever did know. It does not need to be like that. So read some Non-fiction. Mix it up. A book of current events mixed with a book of World History, or a Biography of a Historical Personage.

Learning another language would not hurt either.

Now the matter of your flying brown cat. It has Wings, which makes it a Thing of the Spirit. It is friendly. That is good. But it wants to make friends with non-winged cats -- low materialistic cats -- that are Orange (us Cat Fancier's call that color "Red" in the cat show circuits), which is the color of passion. I think this means that your Spiritual Inclinations will not be well received by those in your social circle. But you will ultimately come to no harm, because your wings give you a great degree of invulnerability -- you can fly when attacked.

I don't think I hang out with evil people (per se). The guy Nick is actually quite nice once you get to know him. If he was bad, rest assured that I would most likely not be friends with him.

Half right, half wrong with this- I don't push myself as hard as I should by taking all the hardest classes, but I work like the devil in every class I do have. And I've been planning to study history.

I do read a lot, all over the board.

Learning Spanish now, will hopefully get to learn German in college.

      This makes sense.

      Thanks.

Just as I said, you are being disingenuous with yourself. You DO have bad friends. this is what your dream is telling you. I guess you do not see it because you are so much like them. It is like a frog in slowly heated water... it never notices just how hot the water gets until it is boiled to death.

Your dream shows you with bad people, but you don't seem to mind the company. But that does not make them good. it just means you are not to picky about the company you keep.

And there are better and prettier cats than brown ones. It shows a lot of room for improvement.
