Dream Interpretation--sleep paralysis, black hooded figure

I took a nap sometime during the day, and had a dream of a large yellow jungle jim looking tunnel, suspended in space, with many levels and a very detailed series of curves and looks like many different routes. This is all suspended in space, and I can see blackness all around all shining stars throughout. On one side of the tunnel was me, and on the other was a tall blacked robed figured who seemed to possess pure evil and I had an overwhelming fear and sense of danger. Suddenly, I see him enter the tunnel while I feel hands on my shoulders pushing me into the tunnel as well. I know what is going to happen, we are going to meet in the middle and attempt to overcome one another. I am overwhelmingly tense, yet am not completely afraid of death. I am prepared to fight him, and my path through the tunnel is very hazy I remember one part just crawling in the yellow tunnel. The robed figure and I collided in the middle, but cannot remember specifically what happened. Looking back now, I I was so frightened, yet knew that I had no choice and was prepared to face him.
At this point, I awoke up from my dream into a state of sleep paralysis, wherein i could not move any of my body but would feel like i could in the moment. It felt like i had eyes all over my body as i could see everything in the room. I heard a whistling type noise, and then fell asleep once again.
My next dream i was swimming in a what appeared to be a river with one of my close friends from a few years back and someone else who I cannot recall. We were talking and having a good time, and there was a large stone bridge over the water with arches below. On the far side from me, I can see the grass and it looks similar to the woods in my area. On my side, I believe I saw a forest as well, but not specifically. Suddenly, I feel a frightening sensation, and feel myself sinking deep into the water. I cannot seem to swim up, and I felt the world crashing in around me. I kept sinking and sinking, and could not move any of my body parts jus tlike it sleep paralysis. I sank and it get darker and darker, and then the dream ended in my memory back into the dream world.

If anyone out there has any knowledge, personal insight, or ideas about the meaning of this experience I would much appreciate any information. The sleep paralysis phenomenon seems to be well known worldwide, but does anyone really know about the black hooded figure?
