Running slow? No, fighting slow
When I've been able to remember my dreams in the past, they've almost always been, well, a nightmare. Not a truly bad nightmare, I don't wake up in a cold sweat, but I often wake up extremely bothered by it.
I don't have much of the dream to tell you about, but it's recurring. I end up getting in a fight with somebody, yet every time I throw a punch, my entire arm slows down like I'm punching while underwater, or something denser than that, yet it still allows movement. A lot of times this dream also ends up with me running from whatever in slow mo also, getting nowhere. I usually wake up after this. I haven't had this dream in several months, but then again, I only remember my dreams every couple of months.
Any idea what the problem could be?

Your arm is not really slowing down -- just your perception of it. You need to focus on your opponent so that you can see that he has also slowed down. It is really a blessing. It is slowing down the fight so that you can see every movement in greater detail, and so you will have 'longer' to plan each action, and even to focus more power into each move of every muscle. Fung Fu Master train their whole lifetime to achieve this Slow Down in real life. By stretching out Time, they can put more Mind into every action.
In a certain sense, this Slow Down occurs during any Adrenaline Rush within a Dream. Fight or Flight Situations will bring this slowdown. But the thing to remember, is that it only seems slower. Look around, you will see everything else is also slow.
Now, about running away in dreams. You need to be fearless. You cannot die in a dream. And the best way to prove that to yourself is to let whatever you are afraid of, let it catch you and kill you. You'll be back up on your feet in 20 seconds. And you will know from then on that you are Immortal, at least in your dreams.
