Dream about Ex-Girlfriend...

Good afternoon,

I apologise my first post being a request for some insight, i do hope i've not broken any 'faux pas'.

I was wondering if someone could help me with this dream..

It started with me trying to find my ex-girlfriend.. We have been apart now for a year.. I won't lie, i have really struggled to move on and still want her more than anything in this world. She was and is the only person who has stood by me and wanted the best for me, including family. Everything about her is perfect and exactly what i look for, i don't believe in "the one" but she's done a great job at convincing me of such.

Back to the dream.. I was on my way to find her and i was travelling on a tram in Los Angeles (we're both from England.. I'm not sure why LA was so vivid and clear.. i do however want to move to America one day and it's something she said if i did she would come visit me.. but not sure if that ties in with any of it..)

So there i was on a tram, and some guy come on the tram looking for me.. He was aggressive, obviously meant me harm, but some guy told him to be quiet and they ended up arguing but that quickly just disappeared, i don't recall anything more of that. Then the tram kept going and i spoke to the tram driver, it was Jimi Hendrix. Rather bizarre but it might mean something, so i was talking to Jimi, he said he knew where she was, he took me to the beach and pointed at an island.. This island was like trees everywhere, couldn't see anything on it.. Jimi said that a man owned the island and he would pull some strings to getting me on the island, but it is only accessible by boat. He said he would get me in the morning, and we'd go over.. I felt frustrated, i just wanted to see her, hold her.. Then i saw like a woman and child running over this path, it was a sandy pathway in between the sea leading directly to the island. I was making my way down to the path, but unfortunately my phone went off and i woke up.. but it was a text from her..

She doesn't live near me anymore, the relationship broke because i didn't make enough effort and took her for granted, one of my worst mistakes in life.. Because deep down i had the greatest thing going for me..

If you can shed any light on what you think this means, but i have never had a dream that's so vivid before.. it was strange and i would love to know what it means subconsciously.

As for your question, i'm not so sure what you're asking mate..
Well, you had a dream about her because -

Your mind is just dealing with them emotions, letting them out, instead of building them up inside. It's been a year now, those emotions/thoughts are going to express themselves in one way or another.

I don't see much meaning in the dream itself, I believe that's for you to interpret.

It's strange how you woke up from the dream, by a text from her though... A year later right? Did the text relate to the dream at all, or anything else?

I don't want to get into relationship advice and what not, cos' im not great in that area lol, but is there absolutely no way you could ammend things between you two? If not then you're just gonna have to let it go mate, and ride the dreams that come with it, just think of it as your mind letting go, we all have to go through it at some stage.
