      My night as a demon. . .

So this is a dream that I actually had a few weeks ago but I cannot get it out of my head. An extremely short bit of background information before I begin:
      I am female
I am 19 years old, and currently attending university

yeah, that was short, and now, the dream:

The dream appeared to take place in the science building of my university. I was running through the halls very, very fast. I mean, I was running far faster than I could ever have imagined. I knew I had to be either on the second or third floor of the building because as I passed by the large windows, I could see the patios below. The usually clean hallways were unkept and there were papers all over the floor. In addition, there were planks of wood and pipes strewn all over the floor, and several lights were either not working or flickering. Basically the hallway looked as if a hurricane swept through the place. Interestingly enough, the windows were not broken. There were actually people around (I did not recognize any of them), all of them oblivious to the ruin of the hallway and going about their way, just going to class. Several of the labratories were open, but they all seemed to be in the same disrepair as the hallway. In fact, I think the building was getting ready to collapse because there seemed to be planks of wood and other debris falling from the ceiling from time to time.

I vaguely remembered that I was being pursued and that was the reason I was running in the first place. However, I was not concerned that I would get caught because I was always so far ahead and no one would ever be able to catch up to me. From the very beginning, somehow, I understood that I was a demon. I just knew it. I am quite sure I was not possessed, I really and truly was the demon, and I had complete control over my actions. Some of the details are a bit fuzzy, but I remember that I had long black claws, and I seemed to be wearing some sort of weird long, black leathery gloves that allowed claws to poke through the fingertips. In addition, I seemed to be wearing very tight leather pants, and wearing high healed boots.

As I ran through the hallway, I began picking up random bits of the debris, and I actually began to throw them at the people I passed by. The dream continued in this fashion for a very long time. I never stopped running, and any chance I got, I picked up planks of wood, steel bars, white plastic pipes, and would hit anyone that was within my reach. Then, I stopped in front of this random guy who happened to be standing at corner watching me as I reaped havoc. As I approached him, and I decided I wanted to seduce him (into doing unholy things >.>) I tried my best with him, but he was very uncoroporative, so I got angry and wacked him on the head with a freaking steel bar and took off again. The dream ended right there.

My biggest concern is that in the dream, I truly felt cruel, and I actually seemed to enjoy hurting these people, and that is what disturbed me the most. I honestly cannot get over my own cruelty in the dream. This is the very first time I have ever dreamed about becoming a completely different creature, both in body and mind and I am pretty freaked by it especially since I know very well that in waking life, I would never have comitted such horrifying acts. It was as unlike me as it would ever be. Also, I cannot even concieve that in a dream, I was going to rape some random dude (thankfully it failed v.v). That is just disturbing and wrong to me in so many ways.

So what do you all think? Did I just have a taste of what some call the inner demon?

Everyone has a little bit of inner demon.

It's unlikely a reflection of who you really are. A lot of people have dreams where they do things they never would in real life, and there are quite a few posts about stuff like that on this forum.

It certainly sounds like you have a creative side, perhaps something to explore, considering the visuals of the demon and the clothing. The hitting of people is just what your mind expects a demon to do, a natural phenomenon. Once you accepted that you were a demon your mind created demonic things for it to do.

Since you haven't indicated this is a repetitive theme in your dreams I am guessing you haven't done this before. Try not to let a few disturbing images and emotions get to you. You experienced natural emotions in the dream when you were confronted by something that truly disturbs you.

If anything, it shows your sanity.

Ah yes that does put my mind at ease haha. I do have an overactive imagination (in fact, I probably spend at least 60 per cent of my time daydreaming; how I'm passing my college courses is a mystery to me lol), and I do spend a lot of time drawing so that may have influenced the dream. Honestly, what caught me off guard the most was my capacity for cruelty in the dream, not so much the demon part. I have had only one other dream about a demon and that was about two months ago, except I was being threatened by it, however I never saw it myself. I read up a bit on demon dreams, and I read that it can sometimes symbolize a person's unease when breaking away from traditions. It actually kinda fits the first demon dream because I was thinking of renouncing my current religion for another one that I identified with, but my parents were uneasy about it. However, the one I mentioned in the first post probably is just something my crazy overimaigative mind concocted. Stupid subconcious! lol Thank you so much for your input, I greatly appreciate it
