Ghosts
I had a dream that I was in this old, dark house. I was walking through the house and guiding me was a ghost. He was fuzzy to see but I knew he was a ghost and he was very calming. He walked me through the different rooms and in each room were ghosts. They all were standing, gathered in groups of two or three. Each of them gave me a very peaceful nod of acknowledgement and then I kept walking with my ghost guide.
I was scared in the dream but I also knew that I wasn't supposed to be afraid and that the point was to meet the ghosts. The guide kept repeating "It's okay, they do not want to hurt you."
This is seeming to be similar to a dream I had last week where my husband and I walked through a grocery store and we saw each of my students and their parent. But when I tried to begin a conversation the parent just nodded at me. It is also a bit similar to a dream I had last week where my husband and I walked through a house, a man told us which room to go in, and when we got there were there to meet my ex.
What do the ghosts mean and why am I having to meet all these people recently?

Hello Jess,
The old dark house represents your soul. It is old because you are an old spirit and it is dark because you are exploring areas within your soul you’ve not explored before. The ghost is a spirit guide or an angel, however you want to refer to it. The other ghosts are the guides who will lead you in specific lessons in this life as you enter these rooms of your soul throughout your life.
The apprehension you fell is the anxiety we all feel at the prospect of having to move through this life and face the hard lessons that await us.
I believe the purpose of this dream is the Divine telling you that you will face trouble in this life. You will move through dark areas of your soul as you are faced with these challenges, but you must know that these are all preordained and meant to bring you into a fullness of spirit for the next life, the next phase of existence.
In your journey, I wish you the best of luck.

Are you religious Jess? If so, Egor may be right in his interpretation of the soul and spirit guides and whatnot.
If not, I would have to respectfully disagree with him (to be honest, I would have preferred his post to be preceded with 'in my opinion...', as some may not interpret it this way), and suggest that though these ghosts may well have represented something deep inside of you, they could also be arbitrary fragments of your imagination. If it so happens that you don't believe in the soul in its divine/supernatural connotation, it's unlikely that it would manifest in your dreams. That said, I'd say I believe in the 'soul', but only really as a cognitive function/a piece of our mental being - which could well have been what you experienced.
