      Need some different interpretations...

Hi all! I'm new here. I've only had one other nightmare that has bothered me as much as the one I had last night. It was so vivid and real that I felt like it actually had happened, especially since it took place right outside of my house. I'm seventeen years old, I graduated high school a year early and I'm now off to college. I'm feeling stressed out from all of the responsibility being put on me to grow up fast. I tried to break my dream down and interpret each symbol separately but had no luck comparing this to my life. Here's the dream:
I was walking around outside of my house at night on this path covered with branches and stuff and out of no where this guy with a dog is ten feet away from me and I jumped and he started at me like I was crazy and I started screaming and crying and he was staring at me like I was insane and I didn't want to turn my back to him because something about him scared me silly so I started walking backwards so I could watch him until I got home, and I stood outside of my door until he was gone so I could go inside.
That's when I woke up. I'm planning on majoring in psychology at school and I'm heavily interested in lucid dreaming and the interpretation of dreams, so my recall is definitely accurate. If anyone could give me any sort of explanation to what this means I'd really appreciate it. I'm also willing to offer more personal information if needed. Thank you!

The fact that he was staring at you may be a symbol of feeling like you're under pressure which could have something to do with feeling stressed about growing up so fast. It could also symbolize anxiety about starting college.
That's the best I could do. I hope I helped you . And if you're interested in dream interpretations, I don't know if you have an iPhone or not, but there is an app called the iDream dictionary. It has many possible dream interpretations and includes a journal to help you keep track of your dreams.
