      Bathing?

I woke up at 230 in the morning the other night and I had remembered my dream. Luckily I brought my dream journal to my dad's that night because that's where I spent the night. But anyways, here's the dream (I'm going to try and give as many details as I can):

For some reason, I was either living or just spending the night in my old elementary school, but either way it was nighttime and I was there. I looked out a window that faced South and there was this kind of inset that was in another building, like a corridor of some sort or something, but on the outside of the other building. As I kept looking, it seemed that my vision was slowly zooming in on the inset. Next thing I knew I was outside, running Southbound towards the other building, but once I ran for a little bit, I was just in the parking lot near the Elementary school, now facing East. While I was running, I looked South (my right) and saw a group of people across the street who were illuminated by the street lights. One of them was jumping on a car or something, and when they all saw me running, they started laughing. While running, I did a complete turn around and started heading the other way. Next thing I knew, I was in my room at my dad's house (which was the room I was sleeping in on this night) but I had a feeling I was still in the elementary school. Also I was in a small, plastic basin and I was bathing. The basin was just big enough that I could fit in it, but too small for me to recline or anything. This part of the dream was so real, because my hair was wet in the dream, and I could really feel that my hair was wet (I have long hair, so it was wet and cold all around my neck.) At this point I was still aware of the group of people I had seen outside, and was afraid that they would seek me and locate me in the room that I was in. I decided that if they were to do so, I would splash them when they came in. Suddenly the door opened, but I wanted to see who it was first, and it was my mother. This was odd not because I was at the school, but because the room I was in was my room at my dad's, so I found it odd that she was there. She started to speak to tell me something, but then she saw me and since it was dark and my hair was long, wet and in my face, I'm sure I looked somewhat frightening. I tried to speak to try and explain to her that it was just me and I was bathing, but I couldn't speak. Finally, on the third try, I managed to say the word "shower" and I woke up in the middle of the word.

Please just point some signs out or even if you could interpret a good part of it, that would be great. All of my dreams are kind of like this, they're kind of boring, but they seem to have a lot of meaning or something.

      just a opinion...

      Hi,

I did not finish reading your dream...

But bathing means cleansing. The dream is in elementary school. You are in the process of resolving some issues related to your younger days, thus the cleansing.

All the people that you see in the dreams are related to certain aspects of yourself.

Are you on a spiritual path? It appears so...

      Just my opinion...

Well I have been praying a lot lately. But mainly just because I've been nervous.

      Hi Reckless,

      This is my opinion only...

You are/was confronting some kind of fears that originated from your younger days.

School means lesson to learn. Therefore this dream is telling you that what occurs after the dream (usually within a month) is a test, to see if you can overcome the younger days issues.

You taking a bath ( spiritual cleansing) and possibly worrying that people might come in, means that you will feel vulnerable during the 'test' period.

You having difficulty muttering the words means that you may not be able to avoid the 'test' situation. Anyway, this occurence will pass or may have already passed by now.

      regards.

Wow. Thanks a lot. That clears a lot up. The only thing is, I think at the end when I had a hard time speaking wasn't because it was a problem in the dream, but I was actually trying to physically say the word, which is why I woke up while I said it. My body was so tired, so I couldn't actually say it, so I woke up when I actually did say it. This isn't the first time that's happened, either. I know I've woken up in mid-sentence or mid-word before.

The Dreaming Self will always return to Routines and Places of the Past to seek comfort in familiarity. It is something that probably should not be encouraged. In my own dreaming I once counted up my graduations and degrees -- I had graduated from High School 4 times and I had more than several University Degrees, but all in the Same Thing. It occured to me that I was wasting my Dream Life in useless repetitions. Move on.

The Bath was a return to the Mother's Womb. You were comfortable enough being born, but your mother had anxieties at the time... what new mother wouldn't?

The people in your dream. I suspect you might be a bit introverted. You are not comfortable around people. I can't say I blame you. People, for the most part, are not okay. If one can find some very good people -- people worthy of friendship -- then socializing can be worthwhile... even beneficial. But in most instances, your instincts about 'strangers' is perfectly justified.
