Stuck in water...Seeking an abandonded ship

Hello there! I'm new around these parts, but I already love this site! I've been a lucid dreamer for years and I never knew there was such a vast community dedicated to it!
But I'm posting today, not to share a lucid dream...rather, I need some help interpreting a frightening dream I had last night.
A little about myself and my current situation...I'm 29 (just celebrated my birthday last week) and happily married to my soul mate. We just moved to a new city, 250 miles from where we were living, but we are MUCH closer to the majority of our friends and family. Three months ago, I lost my grandfather very violently and there are still many questions surrouding his death, to the point where I am investigating how much the police have actually done. I work full-time, but I do love my job. Any other questions about me I'd be happy to field, but those are pretty much the biggest issues.
So...on to the dream! I don't really want to call it a nightmare...but since I was absolutely terrified during it, I suppose that's what it was.
I was completely alone, standing on the edge of an immense clearing (and when I say immense, it stretched as far as I could see.) The grass was yellow and dead...the sky was clear but completely gray. No sunshine, no clouds. There were no trees, no wildlife...just the dead grass all around and an enormous ship plunked right there in the middle of the field. In the dream, I knew this was the Titanic...though, it wasn't wrecked. It was just sitting there in one piece, but it was old, worn, abandonded and covered in seaweed and muck. I knew I had to get there to explore it...I wasn't looking for anything specific. At this point, I didn't feel anything...I wasn't scared or sad or happy or excited. I just knew I was supposed to get to that ship.
So, I took a step toward it and discovered immediately that there was no ground. All that dead grass was just covering a vast expanse of water (I have no clue what I was standing on before I took that first step). The "ground" swallowed me up...the water was a strikingly deep, dark blue and it was freezing cold. Now, I'm actually an avid swimmer and I love being in the water. But in this instance...I was panic-stricken and terrified. I just flailed, helplessly...no one came to save me, the landscape remained the same...i could still see the ship in the distance...and I had no way to pull myself out. I wasn't drowning...I was just stuck and frantically trying to get out.
That's where it ended because my husband actually woke me up because I woke him with my cries for help. That's something that has honestly never happened. He comforted me, I told him briefly about the dream and I kept getting chills at how creeped out I was by the whole ordeal. Moments later, I fell back to sleep, and I had the EXACT dream all over again. And again, my husband woke me up because I was calling out for help.
So...those are all the details I remember...and I just can't shake the image of that ship in the distance...and being stranded and so helpless...after I woke up this morning I kept shivering every time I thought about it. I've had a lot of vivid dreams before...but nothing like this.
What do you think it means? What does the ship represent? Is flailing in water without rescue symbolic of feeling alone in your emotions? I welcome all thoughts and suggestions and thank you so much for taking the time to help. Have a blessed day!

while swimming, has the thought of getting caught by something underwater ever cross your mind sending a sort of chill down your spine thinking of how that would feel if that were ever to become reality? For me, most of my nightmares always involved the prospect of a tornado where the impending threat of a tornado touching down somewhere would put me in shivers in a deam. Tornadoes are one of my biggest fears and like a schitzophrenic, I could just visualize a tornado and that would send me in shivers. I'm not sure about the metaphorical interpritations but when we dream, our subconscious always seems to know exactly what it is that disturbes us and how to screw with us during dreams. I'm a big eye phobic, anything involving the eyes like getting hit in the eye, touching the eye, or getting stabbed in the eye will mess me up. opening my eyes underwater, yeah I can't do it. So occasionally I might think about tortue methods, I'll think of what I would do if I were to ever torture someone then the thought of messing with ones eye comes to mind and I have to quickly dispell that thought because for me, that would be the most disturbing form of torture. Then later, our of nowhere I once had this dream inwhich someone was being tortured and method the torturer used to hurt a guy was exactly the sort of torture I squeel when thinking of. Basically what the guy did in the dream was he would peel the guys eye lids back as far as possible and start using his finger to rub all over the guys eye. He would stick it so far in the eye sockets that he pull the entire eye ball out but he would just rub back an forth deep inside his eye. It was one of the most f-cked up dreams I ever had which stayed with me for awhile.

Question Stuck in water...Seeking an abandonded ship ~ SOLVED

You were standing on the edge of the immense clearing in your mind that stretched as far as you could see. This could mean in the issue the dream is about, everything you see ahead is without anything in it. It is empty, open to anything.
      The growth had died.
Your mind was clear but colourless. No sunshine, no clouds.
There was no growth, no life...just the evidence of what was once growing.

And an enormous part of yourself that used to be afloat in the middle of it.

      You knew this was the Titanic...though it wasn't wrecked. So, the enomous major thing this ship represented wasn't wrecked, just stranded. {Intruiging, isn't it, to think of what the ship is.}

Your words barely need interpreting: It was just sitting there in one piece, still intact and whole, It was an old idea, worn, abandoned whether by you or the world, and in a poor state of neglect.

You knew you had to get there to explore it...though not for anything specific.
You didn't feel anything, just knew it was some issue you had to explore.
Could it be you missed your boat? Some missed opportunity?

So, you went toward it but this issue had no ground to stand on. It was going to sink you.
All the dead layer on your surface was just covering the vast expanse of your subcpnscious. (Before, you were standing on the solid ground before meeting this ship issue.) The deep swallowed you up, the area of your mind in this area was strikingly deep, though I guess calm and peaceful enough, but verging on darkness, as happens with depth. It made you feel freezing cold, emotionally.
So, stepping into the waters of this abandoned situation made you panic-stricken and terrified. You flailed helplessly... unable to save yourself.
The landscape of this riddle remained the same, as the ship went into the distance of your mind.
And you had no way to pull yourself out. You weren't overwhelmed by this situation, just stuck and frantically trying to get out.

Then you woke up, to that message, and the point as far as this issue has gone.
What is it, that makes you cry for help?
If you correlate the dream to your real experience, it should be inevitable to see. Only one thing is likely to be like that.
I don't see how it can be feeling abandoned unless you abandoned something big and precious, left that behind, maybe some part of yourself. Because you have moved closer to f & f.

Fot a big part of your life that is stranded to terrify you, and make you feel abandoned, could fit with your grandfather. One might think the ship should be wrecked. But it doesn't symbolize him, but you and your reactions and feelings.
And, of course, you are investigating what happeend, just like in the dream. That's why it wasn't anything specific. Because you do not know.
*SOLVED* You made it too easy by describing your real situations!
