Extreme violence, loneliness, war, demons someone help i have these almost every night

The dreams i have been having have been persisting for almost a year now. They are usually relatively the same, but only with a change of scenery of place. In these dreams I am most often alone except on occasion I am followed by this blond girl that I cannot recognize. What goes on is these dreams is I am constantly fighting tooth and nail to defend myself and for some reason her, and only do i have brief breaks before the next extremely violent encounter. (when i say extremely violent I mean very detailed gore people being torn to shreds, or i am tearing these "demons" to pieces with whatever weapon be it gun, knife, or even a piece of re-bar, anything i can get my hands on) One of the dreams I remember the clearest started out in some sort of shanty town next to a dock, I was with that girl that I mentioned earlier we were staying in some sort of shack (this girl most of the time keeps a short distance from me, but at times talks to me nothing more than idle conversation though) after a short while I picked up my weapons at the time in this case a very battered looking SR-25, and a small 9mm handgun which I placed in my waste. It skips a little bit to the docks near the town where we are surrounded by these gray, ghoul humanoid looking monstrosities. We are running out of space to retreat to and I am on my last few magazines of ammunition. We board a small wooden boat and set out on what I think may have been a large lake. The dream skips ahead and we are now approaching a blown up, burnt out town where we can hear gunfire and shouting in the distance. Sometime later after coming up over a hill we stop, and watch as what looks like a small multi-storied building is being overran with these creatures, some people are still shooting out the windows while others are being ripped out and torn to pieces in a very brutal manner she mutters there is nothing we can do and the dream ends.

when these dreams started i was alone in them and very terrified the first one took place at some party in a very lavish building where these things first appeared overran everything and killed all of my closest friends, I bearly made it out by coming across a pry-bar and savagely fighting my way to a emergency exit on the bottom floor. The girl did not come into play until later, I dont remember exactly when. Before she appeared though I was always alone feeling almost feral, while fighting my way through streets hiding in dark corners, trying my best just to survive.

As far as I remember they have gone in a sort of order, they are all very vivid, and highly real feeling anytime i get hurt in one of these dreams I basically actually feel it and still have the memories and can recall the pain i felt.

Am i just crazy or is there some sort of meaning behind this?

A few more details about these dreams as i mentioned i can feel pain, and still recall what i felt and how bad it freaking hurt. Here is another example say I'm using some sort of firearm, if I'm really just laying on the trigger I can feel the recoil, smell the burning gun powder, when i reload sometimes i don't know how most of the time its a weapon that i have no experience with and have to figure it out, by finding a way to get the magazine out pulling another out of my pocket or waste putting it in, and racking a round in the chamber.

Hi Krieger, I just read your posts. I don't have anything to say except that I sympathize--it sounds frightening. Best of luck. Are you lucid in the dreams--do you know you're dreaming? If so, do you have any control?

If it happens to you almost every night you can use it as your dream sign - use a mantra to recognize it. When you're in bed, repeat something like "When I see demons, I'm lucid.". Make sure the sentence is not in future time. You have to know what are you talking about, don't make it just a meaningless thing - know the meaning of each word. Repeat it, until you'll fall into trance - state where you will repeat your mantra automatically, with no or little consciousness. If you fall asleep while doing this - that's good too. Repeat it every time you go to bed When I'm saying my mantra, I start to feel mildly relaxed after few repetitions, and deeply relaxed after like 15.

Best of luck, post your results

I think the easiest thing is just "the next time I am in a nightmare I will wake myself up." And do that.

      no none, it feels real.
Lucids feel real as well. As real as waking life.
