Thread: Interdimensional romance hmmm

So the other night I had a really elaborate fairy tale type of dream and I thought I might post it on here to get other peoples' insights into it. I don't remember all the details since it was night before last and I stupidly did not write it down (my life has been rather hectic lately) but I will post what I remember. The first thing I remember from the dream is I was someplace on the coast and I was standing by the shore when I saw this guy appear out of nowhere. I don't remember what he looks like but I know it was not someone I know in my waking life but in the dream I had met him before and we had a sort of romance going. I think he was some sort of goblin king (I know that is really random XD) but not the white-tights-wearing-teased-hair David Bowie type, he was normal but just not from the same world as me. In the dream we only saw each other once every so many years (random #s of years each time) when he could enter our dimension and so each time I saw him it was a special thing. The time I met him along the shoreline he told me there was a war going on where he was from and he wasn't sure when or if he would be coming back. He disappeared then for longer than usual and I started having a recurring dream (within my dream) about being on the beach at night and seeing the moonlight glittering on top of the water and along the shore where the water hit but the light was purple and eerie. I took this dream as a sign that I would see the guy again when I saw the scene from my dream. Well, one day I stepped out of a hotel and I turned to my right to look down the hall where there was a conference room at the very end of the hall which had its doors open so I was able to see inside. Inside the conference room was pitch black except for the lights from a laser light show that was going on. When the song ended that was playing when I first noticed the conference room another song started and, along with it, a new image formed. The image formed by the lasers was an ocean with gentle waves lapping the shore and, you may have guessed by now, it was the same image of the waves with the purple moonlight as I had seen in my dream. I was so surprised and happy I ran down the hall and towards the light "ocean" to look for the guy while the audience watching the light show stared at me like I was crazy. I ran into the midst of the "waves" and searched around frantically because I knew when the song ended the image would fade and a new image would take its place. Finally, when the last notes of the song were playing, I saw a part of the "ocean" that was sparkling more than the regular lights and so I ran to it and was instantly teleported to this other dimension. The guy was there waiting for me and smiled asking me what took so long. I don't remember much else of the dream except at one point we were riding these mine carts along a mountainside and the carts kept going down steep hills that made my stomach drop. I think I saw dinosaurs alongside us as we traveled down the mountainside. XD

So, whatcha think? Just a crazy fantasy dream with no real meaning? I had a feeling when I woke like this guy in my dream was my protector and he had been watching out for me from the other side even if he wasn't able to see me often. I used to have these recurring dreams of a guy whose name was Danny (I don't know anyone by that name in my waking life) who always looked the same and who always walked alongside me, encouraging me and cheering me up when my mood was bad. I wondered if maybe it was him in the dream and I simply didn't realize it at the time (in the dreams of Danny I always remembered him and was happy to see him again). One time he told me we had known each other throughout several lifetimes, sometimes we met each other and sometimes we didn't; sometimes we were married, sometimes friends, and sometimes we were strangers to each other and never crossed paths. Often if I dream of someone comforting or looking over me I think it's him. Who knows? Hope that's not too wordy...
