I first saw this woman eleven years ago when we were much younger, and was infatuated with her from first sight. We grew up close friends but never had any sexual or physical contact. I have always felt like we have always liked each other, but you know how some things never develop. Even though we haven't lived in the same city for the past 5 years, we manage to keep in touch regularly, with the "I miss you's" thrown around a lot.
As soon as I feel like I may be moving on from her, I dream about her (not lucidly, but very emotionally). It is very frustrating because I am feeling confident that I may be over (not thinking about her constantly, not worried if she may be involved with someone else) I have these dreams that when I wake up, bring back rushes of emotions bring me back to the same state I was in when she lived. I dreamed about her three times just last night, here are the scenarios:
1) An extravagant pool party at some house, and a bunch of people showed up, and mostly our friends from when we were younger. When she came in, looking amazing in a red suit, we laid in pool chairs together and talked for a while. It was good, consistent banter, flirtatious and fulfilling; just like it always is in real life. We laughed and talked, and I just remember wanting to lean over embrace her, ask her how she felt about me, ect. but never did. The dream then moved on.
2 & 3) I dreamt that I was the computer, on some instant messaging (it looked like AIM honestly) and I saw her SN online- so I began to type out a message, something along the lines of "When are we going to see each other?" or "How do you really feel about me?". I remember in the middle of my typing I saw the "woman is TYPING......" indicator pop up on the window, so I stopped immediately and waited to see what she said first. She said something like "Hey! I am in London now with Rhett, but we will be back in two days and I really want to see you. Let's hang out, I miss you." Thats when I woke up and immediately felt the emotional disappointment that it wasn't reality after being so excited in my sleep. Literally almost the exact thing happened when I fell back asleep, same scenario. The other person and location she mentioned are extremely random, with little or no association to any of us.
I know this is lengthy, and I don't feel like "it's a sign" or some BS like that, I just wanted some input of what it means, and, advice on what I could do to change the dream from occurring or even altering what happens in my dream.
Thanks for taking the time!
