A place down in the Earth and a chanting of "I'm in Hell." ---any ideas?-----
I was inside a structure that was concrete, stone and steel. I could tell that it was down inside the earth by the way the air felt. It was stale and hollow. It was well lit but with cold flourescents. I also had the sense of many floors above me and that there were short ladders connecting the tiered levels that went around the corner in a sqaired up, spiral staircase fashion. The room I was in had a few hallways branching off of it that also turned corners and obstructed any view of great distance. I had an awareness that it was a vast structure and the slight anxiety of being lost. I also felt a twinge of fear, like I was somewhere I shouldn't be, or the feeling you got running out of a dark room when you were a child.
Speaking of which, there was a small boy with me, about age 4 and a large paneled switch that he wanted to flip, I think to turn off the lights. I quickly ran behind him to stop him from doing it. I then suggested to him that we should go back up the ladders to another place that felt safer. I remember large copper rounds hanging on the walls, reflecting light. i turned to go up, hoping he'd follow. Instead he sat down in the middle of the room and started shaking his head back and forth slowly, saying " I'm in Hell. I'm in Hell." Just chanting it over and over. I shock I had to hearing this was so much that it jerked me right out of sleep.
I am a person who has frequent and terrifying nightmares and this fact doesn't bother me. I've grown to embrace a lot of what my nightmares show me. But this shook my core. The defeat in the boys small voice and the gut wrenching feelings that went along with it made me actually have to get out of bed,which is very rare for me to have to do after bad dreams. I tried to walk to the bathroom and felt dizzied and my vision was wonky. I also had a balled pain right behind my sternum in the center of my chest.
Another repatitious theme of this dream was a low toned, bass driven music that kept repeating the phrase, "Bluuuuuueeeee fields." I've tried all morning to find the song it sounded like, as if maybe it was just some flack from music I heard previously, but I can't find anything. There was also an ominous humming, like a charged energy field.
I have my own beliefs as to what this dream meant but I wanted to see if others think the same as I am on this. I am a father of 2 small children, girl 6 and boy 3. And I feel that they are happy and adjusted kids. Of course, like most parents, I have my doubts and guilts that I could do better. My life is not over stressed or over complicated beyond the point of not being able to handle it. Details about me are on my page.
