what does this dream mean?

In the dream i am in a field outside a house where i grew up partly,now in this field I spot a baby elephant,i take aim with a gun to shoot it(it was an MP40)
Suddenly a bigger elephant charges towards me aggressively,I hope over a fence to get back on the land of my old house but it still continues to follow me,i jump into a neighbours land,which is unkept,full of overgrown weeds etc.there it doesn't follow me,
Further on in the dream I'm in some apartment when i hear a loud crash and the elephant from earlier is trying to get in with its trunk coming in at me from the door as i try close it,I then was searching for a heavy machine gun to attack it!
What does it all mean?pretty weird dream right?

It means don't fuck with the animals. Especially elephants because they never forget...

Lol planeswalker has got it right :P your brain got caught up with the fact that you killed the baby elephant, on top of that non lucids are pretty weird and don't have much meaning for that matter. Maybe if you become lucid you can ask the elephant why he's chasing you.

I strongly disagree with the statement that non-lucids don't have much meaning. In my opinion there are many non-lucids out there, and some of them do not have much meaning but some can have very profound meaning as they are a reflection of the dreamer's subconscious mind mulling over some issue.

Thus I think this dream could have very little meaning or a lot of meaning:

Example of how it could have very little meaning: maybe during waking day preceding this dream you saw a picture of a baby elephant, and so you incorporated it into your dream, and when you saw it, you thought hunting, so you shot it, but when you shot a baby animal your expectation was that the mother animal would then retaliate, etc.

Example of how it could have meaning (and I am not saying that this is the only possible meaning, but rather it is one possible meaning): a baby elephant in your home yard could be a small issue that has the potential of growing into a big issue; after you attack the issue, your trying to solve it does not work, and you now have to deal with the big issue; people say that elephants never forget, and maybe that is significant: your issue keeps coming back even after you think it is gone. Now what that issue is, only you could know.

It is however quite possible that neither one of these two is the correct interpretation of this dream. I have come to realize that the dreamer him- or herself is probably most likely to correctly interpret a dream, or else someone close to the dreamer who knows which issues and circumstances you are currently facing, and this can figure out how your dream applies to your life if it is significant. If you have the feeling that this dream is significant, then probably it is - I suggest going with your own gut feeling on that. However, if you are just curious whether this dream has any meaning but do not have a strong feeling that it does, then there is always the possibility that your mind just decided to go on a safari just because.

Oops, I should have phrased my previous post a little better. You are right that some dreams can be profound, but this is largely due to the emotions you felt during the dreaming. I was more getting at that a series of events which may seem unusual might just be a replay of something else you have seen earlier, which is generally the case. If something is truly profound the dreamer will most likely have a felt some strong emotion during or after the dream.
E.g
You may kill a man in a dream, if you felt normal doing so it's probably because you have been influenced by movies etc and you were just playing along. If you felt a strong sense of guilt however the whole scene could be based on some kind of real world event, the dream could symbolize a trouble or problem.

Um, may I suggest you stop playing vidoe games.....Cuz you said MP40 and that's classic for like syphon filter oh how I loved that game....The weeds represent a hedge....of protection....other then that nothing else stands out for me..............sorry dude....

I consulted a couple of budding dream experts (my four and seven year old sons) about your dream:

My seven year old claims that what is significant here is how the mama elephant got from the first scene to a later scene in the dream, and that probably this means that there must have been a teleporter in the bushes.

My four year old said that you needed a bigger gun for the mama elephant, and thus my sons suggested a bazuka or a canon.
