An Onyx in the Basement

So I had a dream with a male friend of mine last night and I need some help interpreting its meaning. Just for background information, we have been friends for a few months and about two weeks ago he and I made out at his apartment. He and I are not boyfriend and girlfriend.

In the dream, my friend and I are in a basement. The basement is relatively neat, with just a blanket on the floor. I feel the urge to want to kiss him but he is talking directly to me about opals. I can't remember exactly what he said about them, but he says he has a collection of Australian opals. In his excitement about talking about them, he tells me he will show me one of them. However when he returns, rather than an opal, he shows me an onyx ring, oval in shape. The dream ends there....

In real life, we have NEVER had such a discussion, or close to it. Also, he has never given me jewelry. His birthday is in October, and having done some research I found that his birthstone is Opal. Kind of spooky... :wideeye:
