Thread: Dreams and different dimension?

I've been lurking on this site for quite some time and I've decided to make an account finally (Yoshi's guides work wonders). I don't know if I should've put this in here or in the general dream discussion forum because I don't really need interpretation but I'm going to treat them like I do.

This dream happened about 2 months ago. I have it recorded but some of the details don't exactly make sense and I can't remember everything about it anymore to help you guys make sense of it either.


I was in an empty house so apparently someone was moving, but how they were going about it was weird. Everyone had different families that were switched around. Like I didn’t belong to my mother and this other girl didn’t belong to her family. I don’t know if we were going back in time or to another dimension but she didn’t think she would see me ever again. We were either really, REALLY good friends or dating. The only things I remember are helping her take the final photographs off of the wall, her crying and also her leaving. When the front door was open, it was just a door to a magic portal. She went through it but she was having a hard time saying goodbye to me.

I don’t remember seeing her before but she was so upset that she would never see me again. With the front door leading to wherever, I don’t think that she was going through time, but to another dimension and because the universe is so big, maybe that’s why she was crying because it would almost be impossible for her to find me again.


I wanted to share this dream because I'm seeing a lot of familiar-but-unknown people in my dreams and I'm curious about it. They know me but I don't know them. Maybe I'm making these people up, maybe I'm reading too much into it, but this particular dream had a lot of symbolism plus the other dreams that I have had in the past lead me to believe that it could be possible.

Could it be possible that the people we meet in dreams that we don't really seem to know be in another part of the universe or different dimension and dreams are how we communicate with them?
