      Question Dinner with Mr. Schwarzenegger

Last night, I had one of the strangest dreams I have had the pleasure to experience; I was enjoying a dinner with my family and the Governor of California.

We were dining on a sumptuous buffet in a large and grandly decorated ballroom; me, my family, and Arnie were sitting at a big round table for four. My mother sat in front of me, my father at her right, my sister was at my left and Arnold sat at my right. All of us were smartly dressed, with all the men (including me) wearing bow ties, but our famous guest (or was he our host?) seemed to literally dwarf everyone in the room with his colossal girth and personality.

There were many tasty dishes that we supped upon, but for some reason I distinctly remember preparing and drinking a type of beverage made by taking small sheets of pastel-hued extracts, putting them into a cup, and pouring hot milk on them. At one point, Arnie offered me a plate of delicacies with a huge smile, which I accepted, burning with embarrassment and with laughter ringing all around.

Small talk was exchanged throughout this wonderful dinner, and on further reflection I am struck by how naturally we treated and conversed with him with no trepidation or anxiety, almost as if he were a ancient family friend. I especially remember joking and sometimes arguing with my sister, and discussing many general topics of interest with Arnold. Although I do not recall much of our conversation, one question I asked him firmly sticks in my mind. I asked him if he was related to me in any way (such are the vagaries of dream-logic!), and Arnie, with a guffaw, naturally confirmed he was not, though he told me that he fondly remembered meeting my mother at some sort of charity event. To this I could only nod my head in apparent understanding, though remaining very much puzzled by his response.

Thus we ate, drank, and talked on, until I suddenly awoke to the morning. Overall, it was an refreshingly odd experience, but any possible meaning it may have had eludes me at present. Perhaps you could help enlighten me as to its possible significance?

      Talking Schwarzenegger MEET THE FAMILY

You said a big round table for four, yet 5 were there. Was it for 5? Or was your father in an odd place?

      BIG NOURISHMENT WITH FAMILY
The main thing is a sumptuous buffet in a large grand high-end place with your family.
Maybe Arnie represented this larger than life scene you had success in, whether it really happened or was in your mind or wishes.
You had many tasty dishes, which rhymnes with fishes which might have been on the menu. But perhaps what you extracted, from this or to cause this perhaps, is what you remember most, that came to life or was reconstituted when you added liquid or emotional nutrition to it.
You accepted delicacies, burning with embarrassment then relieving in laughter - perhaps at how delicate something in this situation was for you?

      THE ROUND TABLE
Your sister on the left is on your wrong side a little who you sometimes argued with.
You are facing your mother directly, who the big man said had the opposite - charity.
Your father is on her right your left, between mother and sister.
A round table has no sides, so like the knights, all are one here on the same side. But were they always? Or are all?
On this night of the round table you never mention speaking to any member of the family except sis - in sometimes arguing. So more than once. Can this whole dream be about her?

      HE'LL BE BACK
But it was wonderful, and naturally at ease with The Familyator in his new role.
      * He's back, bringing families together *
      Like an old friend.
That you joked showed how comfortable the situation was or the need for seeing humour in it again.
You discussed many topics with this Austrian Arnoldegger aspect. Could he being a foreigner - the most unlikely foreign success story on Earth, who against the rule dominatng all others even always kept his accent - and now a friend, mean something in your family was foreign and now is friends? Probly not, until I thought of sister later. But it seems safe to say he was governing the state of family affairs here, in a grand benevolent way.

      RELATED TO THE UNATTAINABLE
You asked if this aspect was related to you - in any way. That sounds like you really wanted it to be, yet it laughed largely at you. Excuse me, I'm writing like you, but I loved it. Haa.
Here's where this part of you fondly recalls 'meeting' maybe your knowing, guiding you, or your values, in the virtue of charity. And maybe it literally means your mother is charitable and maybe you think you should be. So The smiling giving Friendinator seems to be defined by that in how you relate to your family.
Maybe you were very giving it seems, or wanted to be.
This can explain how you could only nod your head in apparent understanding, though you remained very much puzzled in some way about it, maybe how to implement it, how it could be yours.

      CONCLUSION
Can this make any sense yet?
Did you perhaps idealize how one should be more giving to the family, or just to your sister, but found this new grand idea a bit beyond you yet?

You make some very interesting points in your interpretation; I am indeed trying to attain many goals at this time, including trying to become more fit and achieving more academically. Incidentally, I received a certificate of distinction in my violin recital only two days after the dream.

Thus, it could be my own desire to improve myself and provide for others manifested as Arnie, due to his ubiquitous role as a strong man; the laughter may symbolize some people affectionately poking fun at my efforts. Still, I'm intrigued by Arnie giving me the plate; why didn't he give it to my sister, or to my mother? Was he trying to teach me something, or simply being nice?

By the way, sorry for the small mistakes I made in writing my account. The table was for five, I used the word 'sides' to give an approximate idea of location (though your idea of unity makes sense), and I did mostly talk (or remember talking) to my sister, though my whole family was present. Now that I think about it, I recall that I argued with her about how to prepare the strange drink that I described.

Maybe then, the family just represent what you closely valued, in this Arnie aspect.

Your sister could be the part of you that you argued with or was against it, your slightly opposing side you have to battle with to achieve your goals along with giving yourself to. So that could explain you mostly talked with this side of you that gave you trouble. Oh, arguing with her about how to prepare what you extracted for yourself or your goals and had to reconstitute - so maybe how to go about it.

Maybe the round table represents you becomning more rounded with all your sides.

So perhaps self-improvement is always a bit delicate or can be embarassing at times, and why he offered the plate of delicacies to you. After you accepted it, though it really pleased this developing part of you, the usual you got embarrassed, then the laughter came.
