Thread: Dream about my car and colored worms

Well you will obviously be stressed about the situation which could make you dream about it, it's why everyone says be stress-free when it comes to lucid dreaming. But if money problems are on your mind 24/7 then it is likely you will dream about it

You put away what's important to you, then you start preserving the empty spaces where important stuff used to be but isn't any more. That's when the stuff that used to be disgusting comes out of the woodwork. It should be disgusting but it is not. Why? Is it because you no longer have anything worth preserving there? Or is it because the disgusting stuff comes disguised in a pretty exterior look so that you are more likely to accept it.

I think this dream may be about that in your financial situation, you need to choose to keep what you cannot live without, keep a reserved empty space for those things you can no longer have, and some issues that now surface would have disgusted you before but not now in your state of not having you just accept them, and maybe you pretend to yourself that they are not as bad as they are. Alternatively, the worms could represent scavangers (human beings?) who come to take advantage of your situation at a time when you have nothing, and they prettend to be pretty and kind, but when you think about it they are disgusting? Or maybe the situation is actually disgusting to you, no matter how much you try to tell yourself that it is not bad, but the not bad amounts to just superficial stuff like pretty colors which if you took those away and looked at the situation it would look bad - maybe this part is about fooling yourself instead of looking at the situation realistically.

Now the thing to not forget about this dream is that actually the situation is not as bad. You started out by putting what's important (the meat) in the freezer, so the empty counter may appear like you do not have anything any more, but you made sure to keep what you need safe, before the worms came out. So maybe you are not in as bad a situation as you feared because "they" can't touch what truly matters to you.

Another thought on the salt: you put the salt on the counter after putting the meet away. Salt is also a preservation method for meat, but for it to work you need the meat to be there. Maybe your putting salt on an empty counter is not about preserving a space, but maybe instead it is about unnecessary efforts or efforts that you think help you preserve what is important, but are not productive because you are not ensuring that everything is in place for these efforts to be of any help. Going through the motions, trying to preserve without thinking things through enough for them to actually make a difference.

Do the worms come out because you were salting an empty counter? Would the issues not surface if you were not doing things that were counterproductive?

I think this dream may be saying do what you got to do, but make sure to do it right, to think what you need for the task at hand, and maybe then you will not have some of these issues?

Edit: I forgot about the car. Since you lost it due to bankruptcy, I think it's maybe a reminder that your current situation reminds you of when you were in the situation of being bankrupt? Or maybe it is more about it being a mode of transportation, a way of getting where you need to get, but in real life you do not have it any more, so you will need to find another way to get where you need to go.

Alternatively, I wonder whether the worms could represent your fears disguised as optimism. Or bad habits disguised as doing somethink you think or pretend is productive but isn't.

wow, that was an awesome explanation... yes, you are right, I'm now decided to leave the house I love since I can no longer pay my dues( need to choose to keep because I cannot live without it, but I have give it up because I could not afford the dues anymore), although I'm still hoping by struck of luck I'll be able to come up with something to pay for the house (reserving empty space). There are issues that I usually dwell about and think about how to solve it, but right now I learned how to accept it and just want to give it all up, and yes, for some friends I pretend that they are not as bad, but they are actually...

I totally agree on what you said about started out by putting what's important in the freezer, I guess right now the most important thing is me and my sanity, so I make sure to put what's important first to safety... so, the decision to leave my house may seem to be a total loss for me, after I lost my car and my job... If I will not give the house up, I'll be sacrificing my sanity, my health and it will affect the people around me. But yes, the situation is not as bad, because my mother offered me to live in her house, where I used to stay before I went my own 12 years ago. Maybe the transfer will give me a time to re-think and establish myself again, while I don't have to think about paying for a house and groceries. But still, I'm reserving an empty space for what's important to me... which is the house. I'm still hoping I can keep it...

I got what you said about the scavenger thing, I experienced it and still experiencing it... it's just sad that people take advantage of you more when you really have nothing at all.

I read somewhere that a car symbolizes ambition, But perhaps that's not the only thing it has to do with. A person uses a car to go places and I once dreamed that I cut a tree down to move my car in front of a door (Which may have been a stupid thing to do)

Isn't ambition about a way of getting where you need to get, just not literally? Gentlestorm's ambition is to try to keep her home, and thus she needs to figure out the way to get there if possible. Alternatively I think the car could also be about the fact that there is movement in your life - you are on your way, things are changing. Sometimes of course ambition is not the reason to be in a car, sometimes it is a getaway car instead, a way to escape an ugly situation,
