Dream about police and my brother

im a 23 y/o male. my dream began with me and my brother fighting. He was saying bad things about me to my parents and I cursed him out about it. I remember feeling a lot of hate towards him. then I dreamt that I was walking the streets in my boxers, and a cop car pulled up and started questioning me. I wasn't doing anything illegal or anything, but at this point they proceeded to do a cavity search on me. I protested and said they don't need to do this, it wasn't necessary, etc but they still did it. hate to admit it, but I felt the pain of this being done to me at this point in my dream...

some background: I was arrested last year for drugs (no cavity search tho) and my brother did find out and told my mom. after that we haven't really been close, we barely talk etc. and I sometimes feel a lot of anger towards him

This dream seems to be about what happened to you last year, but in a different context. The pain you felt during the cavity search (:lol: that was a bit funny) is probably related to the fact that being arrested isn't exactly something pleasant... and you and your brother haven't been close and you still resent him for telling your mother, so that was likely what the first part of your dream was about.

But I'm not exactly known for being good at dream interpretation, so feel free to disregard all this. :P

One thing to keep in mind is that dreams do exaggerate emotions, fears, anxieties. So while in waking life you are not close to your brother, but your dream exaggerated that to "hate". Also while you were not cavity searched during the arrest that happened last year, but when being arrested on suspicion of drugs you would fear or expect that as a possibility, and a dream like this will show you what you fear or expect. Similarly feeling the pain is probably something you would fear or expect - there is a myth that people do not feel pain usually in dreams, but that is just not true, if you expect to feel pain you are likely to feel pain in a dream.

I think this dream was caused in part by reliving the memory from last year but a worse case a enario of what could have happened. And in part it sounds like your brother and ou have some unresolved issues that are on your mind, and bothering you in dreams.

Btw, being in public in underwear or even naked is a common dream which is about embarrassment or humiliation I think. A lot of people have such dreams occasionally. We all have moments of insecurity and feeling at a disadvantage, and such dreams explore these feelings.
