Thread: Very long time recurring dream back again, help!

I really would like some insight into the meanings behind this dream i have been having, if anyone can help, i would very much appreciate it. I had this dream fairly frequently for years and years, then it has stopped for several years, and now, last night, i had a similar one.

The Dream as it used to be:
- The dream never really followed a set "pattern" but it was always me and my, at the time, best friend, and sometimes random other people in my life, would go to this wooded location (sometimes i feel like i know the location in real life, as if i may have been there, but try as i might, i don't believe i have been) and go deep into the woods to an abandoned house that still had furnishings and items and such in it but they were all very old and kind of fancy/artful. This place seemed like a safe place to us, like this was our go to place. The house, i never saw the outside of the house, but inside it was almost always the same layout, but the only rooms i ever see are the common area which is dusty and dirty and almost like a hoarder house, but everything is meticulously laid out and fancy/intricate designs. Sometimes the house had secret corridor and room in it, that only I knew was there, and when i was in the room I felt the safest. Once I was at the house, every time, it was only me, no one else was ever inside with me, though they came with me. I always woke up still being in the house, only one time did I ever leave the house in the dream. The one time I did leave the house, it was a hidden door in the secret room that went out to a street where I met some kids, 2 guys and 1 girl who wanted to hang out with me (at the time we were the same age range) I remember liking the girl, and her liking me, but the guys told me they had sex with her every night and i was not to go near her. then they all walked away and she looked back at me crying, thats where the dream stopped. I did not know the girl in real life. we always rode bikes to the wooded area before going on foot to the house.

The wooded area-only ever seen as a top down view from the outside, always vibrant green
The house interior-always a very dirty grey, no colors
the secret room-always kind of a bottom lit with white lights with streaked blue/green lights coming downward

The dream as i had it last night:

Same overview of the wooded area, same person with me going to the house, who I have now not seen in over 10 years, same house, but this time i see the outside of the house and a circular driveway, its on a hill overlooking a small town i used to live in (and frankly hated) from a big distance, one large tree with a tire swing in the driveway. I didnt see the end of the driveway as it went through the wooded area down a hill. I go into the house, and there is someone in the house ive never met but he resembles an old coworker that i was never particularly close to or hung out with, and he was in the process of cleaning up the house, it was about half cleaned up/cleaned out and it was a very clear color line, the cleaned areas were very vibrant and the unclean areas were very dull as in the first dream. The person here was very nice, very receptive and hospitable, I asked him if he bought the house to which he said he was in the process of doing so, I asked him again and he confessed that he just found it and was trying to just live there. This time, my friend was there with me, and in the house. We were there for quite a time, the whole time i was engaged in conversation with the mystery man, I asked him if i could keep some of the old things from the house and he told me as long as i dont keep the "boxes" and he showed me what looked like a jewelry box and refused to open it, and he knew somehow that I in the real world (as opposed to dream world) collect ornate wooden/tin/metal boxes. Then a car drives up, and its my girlfriends mom, I turn to look at my friend, and all of the sudden its my girlfriend, and she goes out and talks to her mom for a few minutes then comes back inside and the dream ends there. No sign of the secret room here.
